Part 12

~After 18 months~

"I can't believe my son is getting in to college. I'm so proud of you" Mrs. Kongthanin sniffled and enclosed Yo in a bear hug.

"Not the first time mom"

 Yo rolled his eyes. He still remembers the day she practically wailed when Pha got accepted to the same university last year. Time flew like wind. Yo still can't believe he's going to college today. More ever he can't wait to see his long time crush Ming. It's been over an year last time he saw him. It's a bit sad he can't see him every day since P'Ming is a grade ahead and attending engineering faculty. But hey he still gets to see him right? Maybe he's now more taller and more handsome and he just can't wait. His heart fluttered at the thought.

Mr. Kongthanin ruffled his youngest son's black locks affectionately. It's very rare for him to show this side but today he couldn't help it. Both of his sons may no longer goof around the house and he kind a miss it. Heaving a sigh he held his wife's shoulder who's ready to weep anytime.

" Take care sweety !*sniffle* and give these to your brother" It was some stuff Pha forgot to take with him last time he visited.

"Okay bye mom. Bye dad!" He stepped in to the minivan and spared a last glance at them. He's so going to miss them. The van started to move forward slowly.

" Honey did you take your tooth brush?"

" Not a baby anymore mom"

" Don't talk to strangers"

" Mom I'm EIGHTEEN!"

" Did you take extra underwear?"

"MOM!"

"Ai'Pha! Catch!"

Pha broke from his daze and snatch the ball dribbling past his new friends and did a lay up.

"Nice dunk!" 

He smiled and fist bumped with the other. A high squeal of giggling erupted from the corner of the court reminding his high school days. The adrenaline rush, the crazy fangirling , frequent friendly slaps on the shoulder and also his bratty little brother if he may add. His smile suddenly dropped as the memories of 18 months back flashed upon his eyes.

" Ai'Pha! Dude why are you spacing out all the time? daydreaming about your ............girlfriend are you~?" A series of ooohs and catcalls filled the air. He could only smile halfheartedly. 

"Break time is nearly over guys. Let's have lunch I'm famished" Another said. " Aren't you coming Pha?"

"Uh no you guys go. I've been called up for a meeting" He waved and plopped down on the nearby bench padding his sweat off with a face towel.

"Omg doctor Pha is so sexy~"

"I wish he's my boyfriend"

"I bet he's already taken"

" Isn't he just perfect ?"

Pha gripped his phone tightly gritting his teeth.

'Perfect? Yeah right. I was the perfect arrogant hypocritical asshole of the year' 

He still cannot forgive himself for what he did that night. It was unspeakable and nothing compared to the previous bullying he had done. He closed his eyes and hung his head low in shame.
