chapter two: Blood and Bone

After a long heavy drive the slowly approached a Tall red brick building with cement accents, they were in a secluded area, surrounded by forest and vegetation. The door slid open as the cold air of winter hit the kids like a proper slap to the face, It was cold in the van, but it now it was worse. they slowly left the van and were soon assisted into the building by two men wearing nothing but black. The men put them into a dark small room, the cement floor was damp and cold, there was a fold out bed on the floor and some dark stains in the corner. After the kids were pushed into the room the door was slammed closed. kage jumped high via the loud noise, she never really enjoyed anything loud. Thunderstorms weren't introduced to her in a very kindly manor, the dark gloomy clouds would send a spine tingling sensation through her back, down her legs and then shooting up into her arms in seconds. 

 having no idea on what was going to happen next the kids huddled together on the bed and soon fell asleep in each others small fragile arms, hoping to escape this world
 

the morning came soon after the reckless night, little sleep was acquired as only nightmares chased them. The door swung open quickly making them both jolt up in a panic, their little hearts racing as a man in a lab coat stood above them. "Hello there." he said, his voice was rough sounding, kagami quickly ran for the door as it was left open. Another man, one of the men that was in a black suit quickly picked kagami up. "Oh.. So you're just going to abandon her?" the man chuckled a little while picking her up, she let out a yelp as his rough hands snatched her. Kagami stopped dead in his tracks, clenching his fists he let out a rough sigh through his gritted teeth, about a minute passes of pure silence. you know that ringing feeling when you're alone? That tone was the only thing heard in the room for that entire minute. After a while kagami slowly re-entered the room while looking down the the floor. 
"Good kagami." The doctor said while walking to the door, still having kage in his grip. "H-Hey! I did what you told me to! Let her go!" he growls. his yellow eyes starting to tear up. "Oh. I never said I'd do that. I need her and I needed you to be in this room." the door slams, making kage once again yelp, she doesn't like loud noises and she never has, they frightened her to the point of her crying. kagami knew this and ran to the door, body checking it and desperately trying to get it to open. but all he could hear where two sets of foot steps walking away from the cell, he yelled and yelled but nothing happened. Nothing could save her.. not now... the darkness was too strong.. and she was too small. 

 Kage squirmed around in the Doctors grip as they go down a flight of stairs. the steps echoes and at the bottom there was a hallway, only leading to more cells, these one were different from the one she was in as they were open, only portraying bars and a bed. while they past the cells kage looked at the people trapped in them, most of them were empty tho some had people.. or should she even consider them that..? What ever her dad did to them, he took something, Not just their sanity but their humanity. one of them was a boy, looking around her age, his hair was white and his eyes were yellow, like hers. soon passing his cell she continues to squirm "L-Let me Go!" she cries out, her father obviously not listening they went into a room, it was bright, the colour of the walls were white which was unusual considering the rest of the building looked, run down, broken even, dirty and infested with pests. where this place looked clean, bright, and well maintained. It reminded her of a mix between the doctors office and the dentist. Both places she didn't enjoy going to, but both places she knew would help her. she had the opposite feeling of this place as she almost guaranteed no one has been helped here.. and certainly no one will be helped here, that's a promise.
