Chapter 1

*(Y/N P.O.V.)*

I instantly wake up to yelling, I rub the sleep from my eyes and begin to get up. I slowly walk to my door and gently turn the handle, making the door crack open a little so I can hear better."Why are you even here!?" That was mom? "Who pays the bills? I DO, I don't want our family living poorly unlike you!" That was dad? "I work just as hard as you do!" I slowly creep downstairs."You just make everything worse for us! You're needy and whiny and you're too soft on Y/N!" Why me? "Too soft!? Well you're too harsh!" Mom..."Well then, maybe we should get rid of her!!" What!? "Take that back! You love Y/N just as much as I do!!" Tears start falling from my face. "Well maybe I don't!!" I cover my mouth and quickly but quietly go to my room, I start sobbing. I still hear them yelling, they both sound torn.
*An hour later*
I finally go downstairs, I see my mom in the kitchen. "Mom? What were you guys arguing about?" She smiles sweetly at me. "Oh, it's nothing." I squint at her. "Stop lying to me mom." She sighs and turns to me. "Look, I don't think it's something you should worry about for awhile." I nod my head and she places a hand on my shoulder. "Go upstairs and get ready, they'll be here soon." I go upstairs to get ready. I hope things will be okay.
After I'm done I go back downstairs and plop myself on the couch. I hear the doorbell ring and I see my mom answer it. She lets in the guests we normally have almost every week, the Lycan's. I've become really good friends with their son, Aaron. We're alike in some ways, quiet, misunderstood, sentimental and we both have successful families."Hey Aaron." I shoot him a smile and he returns it. "What's up Y/N?" I wave my hand, signaling for him to follow me to the living room. "My parents were arguing this morning." He gives me a small frown. "I'm sorry, I'm sure it wasn't that bad." I shake my head. "This one was really bad, a little more worse than the others." He nods and gives me a sad look. "If anything worse happens, please let me know." I nod and smile. "Thanks Aaron." He smiles back as we're called for dinner. Aaron and I have known each other since we were little, my big brother use to watch us when our parents went to meetings together. After dinner Aaron and I sat outside and just talked. "Things will get better, I promise." He gives me a heartfelt smile, which I return. "I can't thank you enough." His parents tell us they have to leave, we hug for a bit. Then he leaves...and I'm alone again...
