Chapter 6

I knock at least four times, he slowly opens the door and I stand there impatiently. He looks at me groggily and scratches the back of his neck, I restrain myself from touching his fluffy hair. "Hurry up sleepy head." He rolls his eyes and I follow him inside, I sit on the couch as I wait for him to get ready. Omg omg omg, I'm getting a mom! Blaze needs to hurry so he can meet her and he can help me move in too. I hear footsteps coming from the stairs, I jump up and walk quickly to the door. "Okay, okay, I'm coming." I giggle as we head out the door to my "old " house, I drag him along until we finally reach my house. "You're gonna help me pack right?" He shakes his head. "No of course not, why would I ever do that?" His words dripping with sarcasm. "Well smarty pants, shall we get to it?" I hold out my hand for him to take. "We shall." He places his hand in mine and we run up the stairs to my room, I grab my F/C suitcase and my other one with a backpack. I start folding my small selection of clothes, Blaze folds my blankets and helps me gather small things. Once we finish, I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I grab it out and answer the call, they tell me my mom is on her way. "Holy sweet lordy jesus." He chuckles and wraps me in a hug, I hug him back and we just stand there for a while. The doorbell rings causing me to slide right out of his arms and I quickly grab my suitcases, I run downstairs being cautious as to not fall. Blaze comes down right behind me and we go out the door, we set my stuff down on the porch and I look around at the car in front of my house. A woman gets out and walks slowly towards us, I hesitantly walk forward. "I'm looking for a Y/N L/N?" I nod my head. "That's me, are you my new mom?" She nods and smiles sweetly. "My name's Layla Hollaner. I'm your new mom." I walk to her and hug her, she hugs back and Blaze stands by us looking proudly at me. We part and I introduce them. "Mom, this is Blaze, my best friend." He smiles at her and she does the same but to me it seems unnatural for some reason, I shrug it off for now as I cherish this moment. Blaze, mom and I grab my stuff and we load it into the car. We get in and she drives us to my new house, I glance back at Blaze and he smiles reassuringly at me. I smile back and face the window, satisfied with today. We get to the house and I grab my stuff before heading in, I go straight to the stairs to pick out my room.
*(Blaze P.O.V.)*
"She/he seems excited." I look back at the stairs as I set down another box. "Yeah, it's good to see her/him like this. Normally she's/he's more quiet but today's special for her/him." I help her move the coffee table in front of the couch. "I hope she'll/he'll be happy here." I smile reassuringly at her. "Oh trust me, she/he will."
*(Y/N P.O.V.)*
I go back downstairs and Blaze follows me to get my stuff out of the truck or the car. Once we finish I put on some music, Blaze and I start unpacking things to place in my room. Once finished with that, we both collapse on my bed and I turn to face him. "Thanks for helping today Blaze." I pinch his cheek and he swats my hand away. "It's no problem, you knew I'd help even if you didn't ask." I nod. "Yeah but it probably wouldn't have gone this well without you." He chuckles. "I think that you might've thought this would've been awkward if I wasn't here." I slap his arm playfully. "Shut up! That's so not true." He shakes his head. "It's true and you know it but I'll always be there for you, no matter what Y/N."
