Planes are my least favorite thing in the entire universe.

But when my brothers daughter was born, I knew I had to fly over to Wyoming to see my first niece.

My family is pretty boring. My mom and dad live in Nebraska and live a normal life. Besides the fact that they do not care a smidge about me and my two older brothers, Caleb and James. In fact, I haven't seen them in seven years. Since I was eighteen. Since I moved from "home".

As soon as I got the chance, I went as far away as possible. My bestfriend that I met online lived in West Virginia, so my only choice was to live there with her.

My family even lives in boring states.

This trip is not off to a good start.

My flight has been delayed for four hours. When the flight attendant announces that the plane will be boarding now, it's both music to my ears and my worse nightmare. I stand up and throw my carry on bag over my shoulder. My boarding pass floats to the ground, and I find myself touching hands with a stranger when I'm reaching down for it. I jerk back in surprise and accidentally bump heads with him.

"Ow," I said semi embarrassed, rubbing the front of my head. The stranger in front of me is incredibly handsome. He's wearing a black sweater that's rolled up to his elbows and a pair of jeans. His hair is a dark brown and is a bit messy, but he can pull it off.

"I'm so so sorry," he says, also rubbing his head. "Is your head okay?"

"I'll live," I say, laughing a bit. He smiles back at me and adjusts his glasses.

A few moments of silence pass before he says "Oh, here's your pass,"

"Thank you," I get lost in his eyes for a few seconds but look away and clear my throat.

"Well it was nice meeting you..." he says trailing off, implying that he wants to know my name.

"Grace."

"Eli."

We shake hands and part ways. That definitely took some nerve off of flying.

I board the plane, and take a window seat in the middle of the plane. The front is too close to children and the back is too close to the bathroom. I silently pray that someone who doesn't like to socialize sits in the seats next to me. I plug in my music and tune out the rest of the world until I feel someone's leg brush up against my. I open my eyes to see the one and only Eli sitting next to me, smirking. "We meet again," I say. My prayers have been answered.

"So, why are you headed to Wyoming," I ask, creating small talk. "My older sister is getting married, what about you?"
"I'm officially an aunt. My brother, Caleb's, daughter was born,"

"Well that's exciting. What's her name?"

"Lucy Grace Gallagher," I say proud that her middle name came from me.

"Well you must be very happy, Auntie Grace," Eli says laughing. I laugh with him and realize how weird it is to be called an Aunt.

" I would like to know more about you Grace Gallagher,"

"As do I, Eli,"
