Eloise Maeson was strangely poetic in a way. She had a way of making anyone around her intoxicated with her words and entranced with her movements. With her eyes of emerald green and locks of honey colored hair, Eloise Maeson was the picture of perfection in Hawkins, Indiana. Maybe that's why she was best friends with Thea Vigil. The two girls had been partners in crime ever since a fateful day in third grade where Thea was - tragically- pushed off of a swing set by the known asshole, Steve Harrington. (shocker, right?) That was the thing about Eloise Maeson, her sickly sweet words and backhanded compliments made both men and women swoon and kiss the ground she walked on.

But, unfortunately, Eloise and Thea hadn't seen much of each other over the summer. It was this reason that caused Eloise to arrive at the Vigil household with a bag full of surprises (wine and twinkies) in one hand and shitty horror movies in the other. When Eloise knocked on the door, she expected to be greeted with open arms and welcoming smiles, but it was the quite the opposite. In fact, it would have been better if someone had actually answered the stupid door.

Eloise waited impatiently at the door of the Vigil household until she decided to take matters in her own hands. With a huff, the pissed off girl bent down and lifted the welcome mat she once stood on and grabbed the spare key. Unlocking the door and walking in, Eloise smiled at the familiar smell of vanilla and lavender.

"Vigils! Your lives just got better because your favorite person in the entire world has returned!" Eloise called, her melodic voice echoing off the walls of the home. Eloise stopped her movements for a minute, trying to hear for any sort of reply in the still empty home.

"Hello?!" Eloise tried calling once more as she walked into the kitchen of the home and took off her coat, setting it neatly on a stool. She stood silent, waiting for some sort of reply, but once more she got nothing but a silent home. Finally, Eloise walked up the stairs and down the hall into the first door on the right and plopped herself onto Thea's neatly made bed. She let her things fall onto the bed beside her and picked herself up once more. You see, reader, Eloise Maeson had a thing about snooping. I mean how else was she to know everything about everyone. (lame excuse, trust me, she knows) So, her Eloise was carefully walking through Thea's room and snooping through the trinkets and treasures that laid dormant on the tops of her dressers. When Eloise reaches the vanity in which Thea had sat a million times before nitpicking every flaw on her face.

A shining silver pendant in the shape of a crescent moon laid on the top of the said vanity, catching the eye of Eloise. This pendant was one that held a special place in both Thea and Eloise's heart. It had been a gift from the Maeson girl to Thea on a birthday some number of years ago and it made Eloise's heart warm that Thea still held onto the necklace. But, it wasn't this that shocked Eloise - It was a note that sat next to the necklace with very familiar handwriting scrawled across it.

"It gets better." Eloise read out loud to an empty room.

All the while Eloise snooped through Thea's room in the nicest way possible, Thea herself finally arrived back home. She stumbled through the door of her home with bags on each arm, making her dangerously unbalanced. She quickly walked into the kitchen and set the bags onto the counter of her home, but immediately stopped when she noticed a navy jacket that sure as hell wasn't hers. A bright smile made its way onto Thea's faced as she dashed out of the kitchen and up the stairs into the first door on the right.

"Eloise!" Thea exclaimed as she laid eyes on her best friend in all her glory. Eloise quickly turned around and smiled a smile that even the stars couldn't outshine. With no words, Eloise opened her arms expectantly, awaiting the hug she knew was coming. Thea quickly threw herself into Eloise's awaiting arms and tightened her own around Eloise's middle. The hug was one that was much needed (for both girls).
