As Dahee waited in line, she bit her lips nervously. Her legs began to shake vigorously. Her vision of the massive building was blurry. Sounds of raindrops outside made it chilly.  It felt like as if time was nonexistent.

Feeling cold, she folded and proceeded to rub her arms against her soft sweater. She looked around to only see the queue of the service counter shortening. She sniffled softly but repetitiously. Her eyes were swollen and her nose was red. Not from a fever, but from worrying too much. Her eyebrows could not be relaxed as she looked at her watch. She sighed quietly but somehow managed to catch the attention of the teenager in front of her.

He noticed how upset she looked like she could cry at any moment. He thought about for a while and could not take his eyes off her. When they both made eye contact, the boy decided to give her the warmest smile he could. He was trying to tell her that everything was going to be fine through the simple action. His act of kindness actually made Dahee feel a little bit more comfort. She gave him a small smile to tell him that she was alright, despite being mentally and physically unstable.

The boy turned back slowly and looked at his friend who appeared to be engrossed in his phone the whole time. As the two males were being served then, Dahee could not stop thinking about how her mother and sister just left her alone in Austrailia like that.

It was just yesterday when Dahee was in her room studying and heard arguing outside her room. She could not make up the words but it did make her devastated. It was normal. Shoutings every day, at least one item breaking. The only thing that she could not understand was that the women were really nice to her. It seemed like they wanted her to see that life was peaceful but Dahee was fully aware that life is not so perfect. She knew that they were hiding something.

And today, she woke up to realise that her family members flew over to South Korea, away from her, without informing her. Messages were not read, calls were not answered. It made her feel betrayed and lonely. She thought that nobody wanted her anymore as she was just burden since birth.

Instead of letting it go, Dahee wanted to find out the reason behind their departure. Was it really because of her?

When it was her turn at the counter, she took a deep breath before asking a million questions. The boy who was walking away looked back at her before continuing his path.

"Oh yea, Felix. Could you contact the rest?"

The younger boy looked at him, nodded and focused back on his phone.

Dahee, on the other hand, on the other hand, was waiting for the lady behind the counter to check the flight passengers. She felt guilty for bombarding the lady with ridiculous questions. While she was patiently waiting, she looked to her left to the figure of the boy fading away in a blink of an eye. She was unaware of her feelings and felt disappointed that she could not see him again. She wanted to thank him for making her feel better.

"Madam, the people that you are searching are taking a flight to South Korea. Is there anything else that I could help you with?"

Dahee shook her head and thanked the lady in the uniform, before dragging herself to the benches provided that were isolated. She sat on them while reflecting and thinking of a plan. She did not want to just stay at Australia. She wanted to find them. She wanted a reason desperately.

She placed her hands over her eyes while facing the ground. She wanted to cry, she admitted it. She wanted to scream, murder a person. She wanted to jump off into a hole and never return back to Earth. She wanted to disappear. She wanted a hug. She wanted everything that she could not have before. She was becoming greedy.

She walked out of the building with heavy footsteps. She started sobbing unconsciously. Making her way out of the door, she could not hold back her tears that were choking her. Droplets are the size of almonds smashed their way onto her. All of a sudden, she shed buckets of tears. She could barely breathe.  Her sneakers were quickly overwhelmed, water seeping in through the stitching.

No one could tell that she was crying. It were not tears that were falling down like autumn leaves. They would just be rain. A heavy downpour soaking her down, and all that Dahee could think of,

was...

That beautiful warm and comforting smile of his.
