I sat in the Bunks, contemplating. Chris was laying across the room from me on a little cot. He had drifted to sleep, but I have found that most nights I could not bring myself to sleep. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, maybe. Suddenly, Chris awoke and sat up, his face gleaming with sweat. The nightmares have been getting worse, ever since I pulled him out of our burning house. "Another nightmare?" He nodded, and watched me for a second. I smiled, "it will get better. Promise." I walked across the room, gave him a hug, and told him I'd be back. He laid down as I left the room, and headed down towards the cafeteria. As I walked, Jordan Sears came jogging up behind me. She stopped when she got to me, and asked if I had heard the news. I replied with no, and asked what had happened. "They are holding a Board Meeting, apparently it's very important, and open to public!" She continued jogging, and I followed closely behind. We entered the cafeteria, and people were piling into the Board room. Jordan and I pushed our way through the masses, and entered the chaotic room. Mr. Leery was at the head of the room, reading deep into paperwork, ignoring all the questions thrown at him. I stood there, attempting to make sense of the cacophony that was surrounding me. Suddenly, Mr. Leery banged the gavel, and with the bang, an uneasy silence fell across the room. "It seems we have been put into a rather curious circumstance. My knowledge is only limited, but David knows the full scope. In this letter, he states a few points if interest. First, he has wrote an extensive list of Board meetings he wants to take place. Also, it appears he is resigning position of Board Leader." The room erupted in a chorus of confusion and questions. Mr. Leery remained calm and banged the gavel once again. The room got silent, and he continued, "David has put a suggestion for a candidate. This candidate would be Selena Kull." This time the room remained silent, except for the shuffling of people as they turned to get a look at her. A circle formed around her, and she stood in the center, thinking to herself. She started to walk towards the head of the room, and Mr. Leery folded the letter, and stepped away. She was about to speak, when Mr. Elliot came running into the room. "David Farret is dead." He ran back out, to lead us to the scene, as the room erupted into screams. We pushed our way to the front of the pack, and followed Mr. Elliot. We reached the outside of Home One, and found David Farret lying face down, dead in the ashes of war.
