TRINITY'S POV

"Trinity, I will pick you up after the football game. Have fun."

That was the last thing my father said to me before he drove off. My name is Trinity. I have naturally straight almond hair and hazel eyes. This was my first football game as a 9th grader. Life was pretty great. I had a boyfriend named Tate. We have been dating for about 2 weeks now and tomorrow we are going to the Homecoming dance together. At my school, we had a homecoming parade which is a few hours after school ended. After the parade, there was the annual football game. My dad dropped me off about 2 blocks away from where the parade was held at.

I began to walk towards the street where the parade was going to start but I didn't want to watch it alone. I walked around a bit until I saw someone I knew. It was a guy named Gabe. I never really talked to him. He was kind of popular. I was too but I hung out with different people. Gabe was 6 ft 3, had dark brown hair with emerald colored eyes. He was very handsome. Gabe was walking in my my direction but was looking down at his phone, so I decided to get his attention.

"Hey Gabe!" I called out, a smile on my face. He looked up at me, smiling as well.

"Hey. Trinity, right?" I nodded. He moved to my side so we could walk together. "You are the only person that I know that I have seen here."

"Same here, but I just got here. Want to hang for now?" I asked, looking in his direction.

"Yeah sure!" He smiled as we arrived to the parade street. We found a nice spot to sit and sat down. We talked for a bit until I felt someone touch my shoulder. I whipped around, for some reason, thinking it was my father, but it was one of my friends. Her name is Nancy and right behind her was a girl named Rose. They took a seat next to Gabe and I.

"The parade should sta-" Rose spoke but was cut off by the sound of our marching band. We watching and clapped for them. Gabe and I were talking some more, laughing a bit and everything. We didn't even realize there floats coming up.

'He is kinda cute' I thought. I dismissed the thought quickly. Soon the sports floats were pasting by.

"Tate's float should be coming up soon." I stood up, smiling a bit.

"Tate?" Gabe asked, standing up beside me.

"Her boooyyyfrieeennd" Rose laughed. Gabe nodded. The float passing was the Girl's Tennis team. They were throwing out candy and tennis balls filled with mini candy. We had a bunch of tennis balls thrown at us. Gabe grabbed a few. He gave one to Rose and Nancy. He has 2 left. He held them up to his chest and looked at me.

"Hey look! I have boobs!" He exclaimed. I laughed as the Football teams float came up.

" Oh my gosh.." I smiled up at him as he handed me a tennis ball. "Thank you." I turned to look at the float and I saw Tate staring at Gabe and I.

"He seems mad.." Gabe mumbled quietly to me. I agreed. 'What's his problem?' I thought. Tate grabbed a handful of candy and chucked it at Gabe. Gabe flinched a bit, laughing at Tate's jealously.

"Are you okay?!" I stared at him, worried that the candy might have hurt him. Gabe just ran his fingers through his hair, flashing me a smile, "I'm fine, don't worry." Nancy tapped on my shoulder. She was obviously excited, "Trinity! Jasmine's float is next!"

Jasmine was my best friend. She had dirty blonde hair with bright green eyes. She was about 5 ft 4. She is a cheerleader and is the captain this year. Jasmine is dating a guy named Kade which I didn't approve of. She was so nice but he was rude to her sometimes and I hated him at times. They have been dating for a year now. I want her to break up with him but if she is happy with him, then that's all that matters.

I turned my head and saw Jasmine. I started cheering at her, "Woooo! Go Jasmine!" I clapped and jumped up and down a bit, a bright smile plastered across my face. Jasmine and I made eye contact and she and a bunch of other cheerleaders throw a bunch of candy at us. We picked up all the candy and ate some of it. Everything was great.

After the parade, Gabe, Rose, Nancy and I walked over to the high school to wait for the football game to start. Gabe was being weird but it was very funny. "Hey Trinity, I'm gonna throw the tennis ball at someone." He held up the tennis ball, ready to throw it. I quickly grabbed his arm, laughing at him, "No you are not!" Gabe gave a fake sigh, acting sad, "Okay fine, I won't mom."

"Mom?" I raised an eyebrow to him, crossing my arms at him. He nodded, smiling wide.

"Yep." He laughed. Rose and Nancy parted from us to find our other friends. "I guess it's just us now." I nodded. Gabe and I went to this empty room. It was small but it was nice. It was the entry way. It was between the outside and the school. We sat there and bounced the tennis balls back and forth. Then 2 other people walked in. My ex, Conner and his best friend Ben. Conner and I were on good terms which was nice. Conner and Ben sat on the other side from us. Gabe threw the ball at Conner, hitting his arm. "Oh it's on." Conner spoke as he grabbed the ball. He threw it back at Gabe, but it hit me.

"How dare you.." I acted offended. I picked up the ball and threw it at Conner, laughing. This continued for about 5 minutes before Conner and Ben left. I checked the time and the game started in 5 minutes. "Wanna start heading over to the field?" I stood up, extending my hand out to him. He took it and pulled himself up.

"Yeah sure!" We walked through the doors and heading out the football field. We talked the whole way there. We arrived at the field a few minutes later. We walked through the gates and headed towards the bleachers. We walked behind the bleachers and we talked some more and then, "Trinity, we should talk and hang out more.." He spoke softly and looked into my eyes. I looked into his as well. My heart raced a bit. We were only about 6 inches apart.

"I think so too.." I whispered. It felt like time stopped for a while, but in reality, it only lasted a few seconds. The moment ended when one of his friends came up to him.

"Gabe? Hey dude!" I didn't know the kid but I heard Gabe say his name. It was some dude named Alex. Gabe took a step back from me. I felt kind of awkward, but I didn't mind. I saw Rose walking with Nancy walking by. I tapped on Gabe's shoulder, he turned around to look at me, "Gabe, I will see you later." He waved and I ran over to Rose.

I am glad I had talked to him.
