Recap:

“He’s not my brother. That’s my dad.”

The girl’s eyes widened. “No. You-you’re lying.” She reached into her robes and pulled out a chain. The charm on the chain was broken and looked an awful lot like an hourglass.

“Is that a-a-…“ He trailed off.

She nodded glumly. “It’s my Time-Turner. I’m Lily Evans.”

Lily's POV

"Thank you so much, Ginny. I can't even begin to tell you how much I mean it. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Lily exclaimed, extremely relieved.

She grinned. "It's no problem. Just stay here for now. I'll find Neville and Luna." Ginny paused. "And everyone else. We'll figure everything out, ok?"

Lily hugged the girl, ecstatic. Lily pulled back and smiled.

"I'll be right back." Ginny gave Lily a fleeting smile then fled the large room.

Lily recognized the room as the Come-And-Go room, although Ginny referred to it by a different name: the Room of Requirement.

Lily looked around the room, unconsciously running her hand through her hair. She sat down on a couch (it was white with red and gold throw pillows, each with the letter "G"), and recalled the past half hour.

Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Crap. Ultra mega shit fuck.

Neville stared at me like I was supposed to be in the loony ward in St. Mungo's. Try again some other day, then we’ll see. "No you’re not."

I sighed and ran my finger over the broken glass of the Time-Turner, rather than looking at him. "Sorry, but I am Lily Evans. I was taking extra classes, Muggle Studies and Arithmancy. Because they take place at the same time, I had to use a Time-Turner." I stopped rambling and looked at the boy. I lifted the Time-Turner, or what was left of it at least, up. "You do see this, right?"

Longbottom nodded. "Yeah, but wow. Lily P-Evans? Really?" He looked awfully confused, just like Frank did when Alice had a spaz attack. I loved that face almost as much as I loved the face James makes before a quidditch match.

I nodded. "I really, truly am. Please believe me." Then it struck me - hard. I was in the bloody future. I needed Dumbledore pronto.

"Where's Professor Dumbledore?"

"But she's dead."

We spoke at exactly the same time and the sentences sunk in at the same time also.
