The night was cold, and cloudy. Usually Ashbourne would have her telescope out. In Ashbourne county on cloudy nights were the best nights to see the moon. It seemed that when it was cloudy it would cancel everything but the moon. No one knows why, no one has called any scientist or any phenomenon specialists or whoever usually looks into these things.

Ashbourne sat on the window seat and looked out at the moon

But Ashbourne could care less about the phenomenon or whatever they would call it. All she needed was her telescope, her extremely slow internet speed so she doesn't get completely get left behind in the world.

She didn't have many friends in school, her small town had an even smaller school population. And of that small amount  people her age, all of them have been raised in a society that hasn't quite caught up with the times. Most girls still wear skirts, a good 45% of the entire female population is either a housewife (or aspiring to be one). The rest are old women and widowers that have to make money for themselves. And her mother, Monica, was not one of those women.  Back when she was found her dad was a firefighter, but then he quit to follow his dream of owning his own bakery. Her mom had to become the main source of income.

She had a few friends, online that is.

When Ashbourne was alone outside her family, and her albino iguana (which had been living for a surprising amount of time given his condition). The kids wanted her gone, they would call her bad roots. They all think she dyes her hair.  Not true, by the way. Its naturally dark purple almost black.

A glint in the sky caught her attention.

Guess it wasn't as cloudy as she thought.

-----------------------

It was like a huge blue, green, and white bennington marble.

Actually marbles were the first things that Tanasar decided to study when began to study the homo sapiens more commonly called humans. They were a horrible race, they continue to exclude themselves from things. Savi always hated the humans, he only saw the bad. The hundreds years of keeping themselves from getting off their planet.
"They are the only thing holding them back what we have." he would always say "They can't pull it together for the life of them so now they're ruining their planet."

His teacher, Savi, had a strong distaste for humans. Why? He won't tell. However he does love to study their history. He often spoke about how many different types of humans there were. That's what drew Tanasar to them. Apparently, or from what Savi told him, there are many different races. He didn't believe at first because everyone on his colony was the same shade of light grey with dark blue or purple eyes.

The colony's speaker suddenly blared out to break the silence that had taken the place of Savi's voice.

"Please Report to the Colony Square, an important announcement is going to be made."
