-BACK STORY-

Bailey's POV

I sat as mommy braided my last strands of hair.

"Ow mommy!" I yelped as she tugged a little to hard.

"Sorry sweetie, I'm almost done. Just hang in there for a little longer." She said whilst finishing my hair.

My arse was getting sore from the rock hard chair, and I was getting hungry.

"I'm hungry!" I cried whilst kicking my legs.

"One second- tada!" My mom shouts, clapping.

"I wanna see, I wanna see!" I shout.

"Come here." Mommy drags me to a mirror, and places her hands on my shoulders.

"What a sight to see." She smiles brightly.

"Mom." I whine.

"I wasn't talking about you sweetie, I mean look at me." She smiles whilst flipping her hair.

What does that mean?

"What?" I question.

She opens her mouth as if to speak but quickly shuts it, because of a knock at the door.

"Coming!" She yells whilst rushing to the door with me running quickly behind her.

She opens the door to find a couple standing with a young boy.

"Hello we are the Irwin's and we just moved in next door!" The lady says happily.

The young boy gives me a bright smile whilst I just wave shyly.

"Come in, we can have tea or wine!" my mommy invites them in.

"I would love to! But my husband can't stay." she informs us.

"That's perfectly fine." my mommy replies whilst they walk in leaving the man behind.

"Bye son I love you." he reaches for the boy but the lady swiftly pulls him away.

"Daddy!" the boy grabs trying to grab the man.

The lady quickly shuts the door in the mans face and holds the boy tightly in her arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Her and the boy cry.

"Dad." he whispers reaching for the door.

"He's gone sweetie. he's never coming back." she informs the boy.

"Come and we will get you both some tissues!" my mommy urges them into the kitchen.

"So I haven't gotten your names yet." my mommy states whilst handing them the tissues.

"This is Ashton, and I'm Anne Marie." she gives me a warm smile

"And who's this cutie?" She looks at me.

"That is Bailey." my mom informs them.

"That's a nice name!" she tells me and I can't help but smile.

"Well why don't you two go play, maybe show him your room?" my mom suggests and I nod tugging the boy by the arm up the stairs. I run past three doors but stop at the fourth door on the left.

I walk in with the boy behind me.

"Woah." is all he says.

"What would you like to play?" I ask as he looks around my baby blue room.
