"Get out of this your room," Ethan said as he walked into my room. "Aren't you tired of always being inside?"
I dropped my phone and looked at him, waving him off. "Leave me."
"Tah!" He shouted as he walked really fast towards me, jacking me up playfully.
I sighed. "When there's nothing else to do nko. We don't talk, mother is always in her room, Eric is mostly at school; so I have no choice than to keep myself company."
He laughed at me. "I bet it's boring," he said, laughing and pointing at me. I sighed as I nodded. "Oya let me keep you company," he suggested.
I had no other choice and company, so I accepted. "And how do you plan on doing that?" I asked with a smirk.
"We could go to Coldstone, Dominos, or Ikeja City Mall; any."
I tapped on my chin rhythmically for few seconds, before making up my mind. "City Mall."
He jumped up and did a silly victory dance, before saying 'get dressed' as he walked out.
I sighed, before smiling to myself. I had a quick shower, before then dressing up in a deep brown bodycon dress and light brown vans. I used a deep brown hairband to hold the front of my Afro. I sighed again as I picked my phone and walked out.
When I got to the sitting room, Ethan was on his phone, making calls and inviting friends. I sighed, I don't want to meet his numerous friends. "So how many of them are coming?"
He turned, noticing me for the first time since I entered the room. "Not much, just five," he replied with a wide smile.
My jaw dropped. "Not much? You call five not much?" I questioned with still dropped jaw.
He smiled sheepishly at me. "Don't worry, you'd love them. And also Tolu is coming, so you guys can talk alot. He's sweet." I sighed. "And whatever he does, don't read meaning to it, he's taken oh."
I hissed. Me that I'm taken, I can't even like that one sef.
"Abeg, he's not my spec."
Ethan laughed like I had said something extremely funny. "You're lost sis, he's every girl spec."
"Tah, you're the lost one. He's not my spec at all," I argued.
"Enough bicker, go out if you are, or simply go back to your rooms. You guys are disturbing me," my mother shouted angrily from her room.
We started giggling at the same time as we made our way to the car.
We didn't take a driver along. Ethan made it clear to me that the drivers made him uncomfortable.
We picked Tolu on our way. "Ah ahn, shu Esse chose to leave her room today?" he asked, making Ethan laugh.
"Asin ehn, when she agreed I was shocked fire," Ethan added, complicating the whole issue.
"Can we go?" I sighed.
They both laughed again, before Tolu decided to let the cat out of the bag. "How far Joseph nah?"
Immediately he asked, I started praying in my mind, hoping Ethan won't freak or get angry.
Ethan gave me a confused look through the rare view mirror. "Who's Joseph?"
I sighed. "My boyfriend."
"You have a boyfriend?" His confused look changed to a smile. "And you didn't tell me."
I sighed, as my chest fell. I was scared, I thought he was going to flip. "We don't speak, alot. And you never asked."
He hmmed me as he nodded. "Toché."
"They're cute together ehn, in fact they're my OTP." Tolu finally spoke.
I blushed. "Eh ehn, so you can blush like this." Ethan smiled at me. "I better meet him soon," he said as he started playing 2baba's 'Gaga Shuffle'. I ignored them, and brought out my phone as they kept on gossiping about me in my presence.
In a few hours time we got to the mall. His friends were already there. All of them were tall fit guys. I stood in their midst like a dwarf. I hate my height, I'm too short.
I was forced to watch a Nigerian movie, I'm not used to it but I had to. And I don't regret it, it was funny ad awesome. It had sad and happy moments in it, I wish it has a part two.
After the movie we hanged around the mall, we went to 'Shoprite', 'PlayZone', the 'KFC' arena and lot more
After eating and wasting money, we decided to go home. I can't deny the fact that I enjoyed his friends company, they're extremely funny. I thought I was going to die of laughter.
When we got home, Ethan introduced me to more Nigerian comedic movies. We also spent time talking, and we discovered alot about ourselves. For once in my life, I feel like I know my brother.
I spent my night watching the 'Jennifer Diaries' series, laughing my worries away. For the first time in forever, I feel different and a little new.
