"C'mon Emma!" Screamed Nicole, my younger sister.  "We have to LEAVE!" She was putting a big emphasis on "leave" but, she was right we had to leave. We were in the process of running away from our city in New York. Our parents had sold both of us to a newer facility called "Bright and Sunny" that supposedly "saved children and young adults" but I knew what they did. They tortured and killed children and adults from the ages of 4 and above.  Our parents had gotten money for selling us, about $1,000 each. How could you even do that! I'm only 17 and Nicole is 12.

Yet...

But I know exactly why they sold us. We have brown hair and brown eyes. We are considered abnormal. I still remember the moment we had to run away. I was asleep it was about 9pm and Nicole came in, she seemed to be panicked. She was yelling gibberish to my tired ears. She then grabbed my hand and said in a loud voice "put on your shoes and let's go!" I didn't even hesitate when she said that because I knew what this meant. Most of my classmates at school had gone missing, and I know where they all went, to "Bright and Sunny".

So that's why we're running for our lives. For even a small chance to live we have to make it to the country of Canada. Thank god they don't believe in this kind of thing. But even as we ran as fast as our tired legs could run I could still hear the sirens getting closer. I know we won't make it, well at least one of us won't.

As the sirens neared we saw a giant fence. One that I can hop but not Nicole. Nicole is much shorter than me and not as strong. I look at Nicole and she looks at me with a terrified expression. "We won't make it!" Her voice is cracking as she says that, and I'm then able to tell she's been  crying the whole time. I look at her with a determined look and pick her up. She looks surprised and I push her over the fence. "go..." I say quietly and she's completely speechless. "NICOLE GO!!" I screamed, she turns and runs only to look back one last time "bye sis... I'll always love you" she waves as she cries. I wave back and then I feel a hand on my shoulder then a sharp sting in my side I look at the source of the sting and see a syringe. Not just any syringe but one with thiopental: a drug used to make a patient go to sleep when they are about to go into a surgery. I look at where the hand came from and see a man with a black mask, brown hair, and green eyes... green like poison from all the horror movies. I whisper one thing to him even though I can already feel my eyes drooping "don't hurt my sister please..."

Then.... I black out.
