Chapter Seven: Explaination

Alec and I were able to walk in the sewage system after a few feet into the tunnel. It smelt bad, to say the least. But that didn't matter. I was still shaken up after the whole ground shaking event.  I guess Alec could sense the tension in the air so he tried to start a conversation. "Listen, I know that was probably terrifying.. but you need to know that there is a gene running around. That gives people with specific eye color, specific powers. I guess that gene made it to you. That's why you were on that facility. For some reason the gene has been way more common in people with brown hair and brown eyes. So the boss wanted everyone with that combination to be in the facility." I stopped in my tracks, "I'm sorry? Are you saying there are more people like me?" He looked at me from a side glance, "yeah.. pretty much." I turned my body toward him, "what are the different 'powers'?" He copies my actions, "well.. blue had water, brown has earth, red has fire, green has like this nature bullshit, yellow has lightning, um I don't know what black has, and purple is mysterious. People say it's shield, but.. that female guard you took out didn't seem to have that." I was so confused at this point I just had him write it down. When we got to a safer area. Because for now we had to idea where we were.
