My new story

I have started working on a new BTS book series called 'Solving Mazes'. It is based on my friend's personal experiences. Here is a short extract,

As the summer breeze blew outside, the birds chirped happily and leaves rustled without any care about the world. I could hear the children enjoying their hearts out, not letting a minute of their remaining vacation go to waste. Everything sounded so cheerful, but,

The scenery outside was the reverse of what was going on in our hearts.

I handed over the keys of the house and the journal to mom, or should I say, Mrs Park. The silence had said so much more than words could ever express.

Every time I'd visited here, the bitter-sweet memories kept coming back to me. It hurt so much. I found it difficult to move on, but I had to. It was hard of course but no one can help it. No one.

The look in Mrs Park's eyes made it clear that she too was suffering. She wanted to stop me from leaving. After all, she considered me to be her daughter. But both of us knew that was, now, impossible.

I hugged her one last time and walked out of the house with tears in my eyes, leaving behind my precious memories and finally moving on.
