on with the story

Tobias POV

all of a sudden I can smell burning flesh, then I see a flash of orange flames. what a way to enter dauntless. I like this kid.

"what's your name?" I ask in my instructor voice

"the girl on fire - but you can call me katniss, katniss evergreen"

I can't tell her previous faction because her clothes are burnt so I decide not to mention that

"first jumper THE GIRL ON FIRE - KATNISS"

then she does a salute where she kisses 3 fingers and holds them up. weird. but then I hear another scream. I run over to the person.

"welcome to dauntless, name?" I say

"Augustus waters, you can call me Gus"

he jumps off the next and puts a cigarette in his mouth but never lights it. we have some strange initiates. still there is something about this Augustus kid

he reminds me of Christmas, like a Christmas tree, yes he lights the place up like a Christmas tree.

we hear another scream then a yell of pain.

"what's your name" I ask. this question is getting old

"hazel" she says

"its hazel-grace" yells Gus.

hazel rolls her eyes and skips down to join the other initiates.

then we hear a smash and the wall collapses.
