Clay left to go help Jeff so I was alone and went to look for like Alex or someone.

Well I was searching I bumped into Zach.

"Hey, Jay." He says. "Why are you alone? Is Jeff gonna jump out and attack me or something?" He laughs.

"No, I was just looking for Alex." I say.

"Um. Are you going to the winter formal?" He asks.

I shrug.

"I don't know. Maybe."

"If you do..maybe we could go together?"

"Maybe." I say looking over and seeing Alex. "I'll talk to you later."

"Uh. Alright, I guess." He says.

I jog over to Alex.

"Ello Mr Standall." I laugh bowing a bit.

"Mrs Atkins." He laughs bowing.

Alex was one of the only people who knew about me and Jeff being together.

"I saw you talking to Dempsey. What was that all about?"

"Just about the Winter Formal."

"Your going right?" He asks.

"Not sure."

"If Atkins don't ask you, I will. You are going." He says poking me.

"Fine. But I guess in way Zach just asked me so..."

"Oh, Dempsey got the hots for Jeff's wife! Wow."

"Talking about the Winter Formal now are we?" Ryan asks coming up to us.

"Go away Ryan. No one wants you here." Alex says closing the locker.

"Well we all can't wait to see who the school slut brings." Ryan says glancing at me, looking me over.

"Shut up. The only slut here is you." Alex says pushing him.

"Wow. Watch is Standall."

"Watch what you say to my friends then." He says.

Ryan smiled and evil smile and left.

"How do think Jeff will ask? Or will Jeff even ask at all?"

"He's gonna ask Jayce, chill. He is into you, he's gonna ask. And if not, I'll hold him against his will until he does." He laughs.

"Thanks Alex." I say side hugging him.

"Plus don't worry too much right now. The dance is like Two weeks away."

"So Jeff has some time."

"Yep. And I have time to talk some sense into the douche ass."

"Whatever Dad." I laugh.

"Someone has to be your father figure. Plus, this way I can trash talk a jock and not get my ass kicked."

I chuckle.

"Jayce Morgan." Monty says walking up to me totally ignoring Alex's presence.

"Hey Monty." I say smiling, in a better mood then earlier.

"Heard you turned down Dempsey, so me and you, Winter formal."

"Sorry, I'm kinda waiting for someone else to ask me."

"I wasn't asking. I was telling you. I'll pick you up like eight o'clock. Okay?"

"You can't just tell a girl your taking her to the dance." Alex says moving next to me.

He just ignores him.

"I'm not going with you to the dance Monty."

"Come on Jayce. Just go with me. I'll make it the best date ever. I'll suck your titties. Everyone knows you like that." He laughs.

"Just go away. I'm done talking with you." I say turning around and starting to walk away.

"Was it something I said?" He yells laughing.

I felt my mood drop again as a few tears picked my eyes.

Alex jogged up next to me.

"You okay?" He asks putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I thought that was over with. That was one of the worst rumors spread around and now Monty is just bringing it back again." I say.

"I'm sure it was just Monty and it's not starting again."

"Yeah, but once one person catches wind, it's everyone. It's gonna be all over school again."

"I'm here for you now. Jeff will be soon, and no one's gonna get to you."

I didn't say anything and we just kept walking.

"Look, here comes Jeff."

I look up from the pile of books in my hands and seen Jeff running down the hallway to us.

I ran the rest of the way to him and hugged him.

"Hey. It's okay." He says wrapping his arms around me petting my hair, sensing I was upset.

I didn't say anything just held him until we had to go to class.

"Find me after class okay." He say moving a piece of hair from my face.

I nod.

"You know I hate when you cry." He say wiping my cheek.

I smile.

"Now get to class." He says pushing me playfully.

I turn to Alex sense we had class together.

"It's hard to hate him when he treats you so good." He fake tears up. "It's like watching a puppy and a duck be friends. So adorable."

I chuckle.

I thought today was worse.

It was only gonna get worse.
