She was once happy, skipping along sidewalks with a smile on her face, everyone knew who she was. They pointed her out on the street, clearly identifying her as the sweetest girl on the face of the earth. She was merry, joyful, wasn't mean to a soul. No one ever saw her sad. You wouldn't have thought a single thing could bring her down, for she saw the good in everything. There was the forsaken day however, the day that he came along with an outstretched arm full of a bouquet of lilies and a smile on his face. A knife resided in his other hand, the one behind his back. She gave him all her love, all her affection, all her happiness. People could have considered him to have been the luckiest boy in the whole world. Her entire world revolved around him. But the dreaded day came, and he let himself lead her on, he told her to stay knowing damn well he was about to break her heart. He could feel himself slipping away, he didn't love her anymore, but he told her to stay, told her fake "I love you's", and then threw her away. He knew he should've left before he would let this happen, but he was selfish. Soon he left her for another girl. He stabbed her in the back with the knife he had in his hand, and left it there to watch her suffer and crumble. He left the golden-hearted girl crumpled to her knees, and her delicate tears streamed down her face. He took her to a whole new world, and left her there. He crumpled her up like a used piece of paper, and tossed her aside in a trash bin. She couldn't look into the eyes of anyone anymore. She couldn't tell her story without shedding a tear. All because of this boy who broke her golden heart and ruined her perfect personality, she could no longer stand on her own two feet. She dressed in shades of black and blue and was quiet. A smile never swept her face. She was no longer the girl everyone saw her as, she was unrecognizable. People stopped and whispered. What a drastic change she took, from a masochist boy who never loved her.
