Bethany's pov

I wake up then go downstairs and I see Cameron sitting on a bar stool at the island in my kitchen "You sleep really late" he says "Why are you in my house" I ask making a bowl of cereal "BooBoo has filming today and asked me to hang out with you" he says "Ugh why you, whatever do you want some cereal" I ask "No" he says "You don't have to do this you can leave if you want I don't need to be watched I'm 17 years old" I say "Believe me I tried that but BooBoo said I had to" he says then I get a text from Brooke

So, this is the last text I will be sending you. I don't want to be your best friend anymore. I only wanted to be your best friend so that I could get closer with BooBoo and date him, but since he's dating Sophia that's not going to happen. It wasn't fun being your friend anyways after I send this text I'm blocking your number bye👋🏻

I immediately start crying "woah why are you crying" he says confused, but I don't even have the time or patience to be angry at him, I run up to my room and lock the door then collapse on my bed and sob, Cameron knocks on the door "G..go away" I manage to say in between sobs "Look I don't really care what's going on but I'm supposed to be watching you so I'll just pretend to care, now what's wrong?" he asks "Why should I tell you" I say "Bethany open the door" he says so I unlock the door while still crying and he sits next to me on my bed but not too close "Yikes, what the hell happened to you" he says "Thanks I'm feeling so much better" I say "Come on Bethany I know it's obvious I don't care but I'm supposed to be pretending like I do" he says so I show him the text "Oh..Bethany I'm so sorry" he says softly "Wow for a second there it sounded like you actually cared" I say sarcastically "Bethany I do care" he says putting a hand on my shoulder "Yeah right" I scoff the sobs stopping but the tears flowing as hard as ever, i bring my knees to my chest and rest my head on my knees "I have a younger sister and this happens to her a lot, I know what you're feeling and I'm really sorry" he says and I look over at him and smile weakly "Thanks" I say "You're welcome and don't worry I won't tell anyone about this and if you'd like we could go back to normal after this you know our usual hating each other" he says wiping my tears "You know Cameron you're not too bad" I say "I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me" he says and we laugh "I'm sorry for being so mean to you" he says "It's okay Cameron consider it forgotten" I say and the crying finally stopping

"Hey lets play 20 questions since we're friends now we should get to know each other" he says and I nod "You go first" I say "Okay, favorite animal?" he asks "Easy hedgehog, what's yours?" I ask "Sloth" he says "Who was your first kiss?" I ask "Marie Lynn 6th grade, what about you?" he says "Jesse Rider, he was also my first boyfriend and a many of other things" I say looking down "Was he your first time?" he asks "No! And its our first day being friends im not telling you that" I say "Was he your first love?" Cameron asks softly "Yeah" I say smiling   "What happened" he asked "We dated for two years until I found out he was cheating on me with one of my close friends" I say "I'm sorry" he says "It's fine he's just a big box full of memories now" I say and he nods "Your turn tell me above your first love forget the game" I say "Haven't had one" he says "Then I have one last question" I say "What" he says "Who's Lyla?" I ask and his eyes go from soft to dark they go back to the look I'm used to "How do you know about her" he asks "Well when we were arguing you called me Lyla and one day I woke up and you and I were cuddling then when I tried to move you called me Lyla" I say scooting away from him frankly frightened by his current state, his eyes go soft again and he sighs "Lyla was my first love, I was madly in love with her she was perfect, she had a good heart and always helped people, she saw the good in everyone, she made me really happy, she was intelligent other than math but I helped her, I loved her and I thought she loved me but on our two year anniversary I found out she was cheating on me with one of my close friends" he says looking down "I know how you feel because that's exactly what happened to me I loved Jesse a lot and if he ever came back to me I would probably get back with him because well I don't know why" I say "Don't go back to that asshole you deserve better than that" he said and I smiled "Thank you Cameron" I say "Hey BooBoo wants us to go to set" he says so we get in the car and drive

We go inside the set and I sit down "Hey I have to go film I'll see you later" he says "See you later" I say and he leaves

I put my phone away laughing and everyone comes and sits with me "So you want to explain how you two became friends" BooBoo asks "Brooke texted saying she was faking our friendship to get to you and that she didn't like me and our friendship was over I got really upset he comforted me and then we decided to be friends" I say earning an 'aww' from the group "Well I'm glad you guys finally solved your issues" Sophia says "Yeah also thanks guys for not telling her about Lyla, I did" he says and they nod "Let's head home" Dove says so we all go home watch some movies and fall asleep
