A white IceWing and a thin SkyWing trotted over to welcome them and show them around.
"I'm Phoenix and this is Hyvitur ," Said the SandWing, the IceWing nodded and lashed his spiked tail as if he hold rather be doing anything else beside showing new recruits around.
"Diamondback, Coyote, and Cougar," Diamondback said, pointing to the respective dragons with her scarred wings.
"We'll need to take you to Nautilus," Hyvitur said roughly and took off toward a tunnel in the ceiling. Diamondback, Cougar, and Coyote watched him but didn't move. "Come on." When no one followed him, Hyvitur turned and hovered outside the tunnel.
Diamondback spread her wings to their fullest extent and growled at him.
"I can't fly," She growled, "Your leader will have to meet us here." Hyvitur grunted but flew up the tunnel, pushing a small SkyWing out of his way in the process.
A few minutes later, he returned with a dark green SeaWing who had black swirls on his scales. They landed heavily in front of them, Hyvitur wrapped his tail over his claws in the IceWing guarding stance, though the SeaWing was a little less tense.
"Willow, what did I tell you about taking new dragons straight to our base?"  He reprimanded the MudWing, as if this was a repeat of a mistake.
"They said they aren't welcome in the Kingdom of Sand and the SandWing can't fly, so what threat does she pose?" Willow was trying to help them, but Diamondback scraped her claws lightly on the stone. She could probably kill a few dragons and get out before they could react, she was a bigger threat then any of the three sisters (most of all, Blaze), but she simply watched them in a bored fashion.
"Well, check with a few other dragons first. Ok?" He said and she nodded. He turned to Diamondback. Jackal slipped a little closer to her side and she placed one wing over her back. "Hello, I'm Nautilus, leader of the Talons Of Peace." He bowed his head slightly and when she didn't copy, he looked around kind-of embarrassed that it looked like he was summiting to a new dragon.
"Anyhow, we will have to get you a room, and tell the others you're one of us."   He quickly regained the air of importance, acting as her superior. "Some of the others would more likely attack you then ask if your on the same side first."
Diamondback merely nodded, challenging his status by watching him the way she used to watch Thorn, catching every detail and storing it for use against him. She said nothing and followed him down a tunnel that met at ground level. The dark tunnel turn downward and to the left. It opened into a large cavern deep underground, a dormitory. Thick woven mats lined the walls, each had a small chest at its foot. These varied from mat to mat, some had trinkets placed on top and others were closed, with a fat padlock holding it shut.
Nautilus led them to three mats side by side; these ones also had chests, but they were left open and empty. Cougar bounded over and inspected the mats, picking out her own.
"You'll sleep here for now." Nautilus said and he trotted back the way they came.
Diamondback took the mat in the middle, dropping her camel hair blanket on top of the chest, it had proved useful. Coyote silently dropped some thing in the chest by the last mat before she and Bolt began to chase each other up and down the long hall.
She watched them, thinking about the day's events. Not a threat? Because she can't fly? She opened her wings and smiled. There are much more deadly ways to attack then that.
