Naruto:Shinobi Legends

Prologue: Part 1

Six hours. Six hours of relentless pacing back and forth and waiting. At this point, losing patience was an almost impossible feat. Boruto Uzumaki, the 9th Hokage, paced back and forth the room, worrying for his wife's condition. Sarada Uzumaki was six hours into labor, yet nothing has happend. What if it was a false alarm? What if Sarada's conditon was bad? This questions stirred through the 25 year old Hokage. He had taken time off almost immeditatly when he heard the news. Though he knew Shikadai Nara, his main advisor, couldn't fill in for Boruto much longer. (Dammit, when will it happen) Boruto thought. Almost on cue, one of the nurses rushed in. She was sweating and panting heavily, and she looked tired as well

"It's happening, Boruto! The baby's coming!"cried the nurse. Boruto nodded and quickly ran inside the room with the nurse. They were both greeted by the sound of Sarada's cries of pain.

"Sadara!" Boruto yelled while gripping her hand. "Breathe. Deep breaths, Sadara."

"Auuuuggghh!" This really hurts, you know!" Sarada yelled in pain.

"W-wow, I've never seen her yell this loud before," Boruto says as he looks at Sarada with worry.

"Alright, the head is out. Your almost done, Sadara," says the main nurse. Sadara yells out in pain as if it's a reply to what the nurse said.

"Oh, c'mon Kai! Hurry and come out! Boruto yells quickly. Soon the cries and shouts of pain from Sadara vanished, but was replaced quickly with more cries, this time they were coming from the sounds of a newborn in the nurse's hands. Boruto looked at his newborn son with joy. He did his best to contain his tears of happiness, however when the nurse brought the baby to Sadara's side, her eyes soon filled with tears of joy.

"Hello there, Kai." says Sadara between sobs. She places her hand on Kai's little forehead and smiles with exhaustion. Boruto smiles as well and looks at Sadara before kissing her on the forehead.

"We'll get him cleaned up and will give Sadara the rest she needs," says the main nurse.

"Thank you", replies Boruto as he nods. He wipes his forehead, as he walks in to the main waiting room. To his suprise, he sees all of his relatives standing in the room. Naruto, Hinata, Himawari, Sakura, and even Sasuke are seen waiting in the room.

"You guys.... you showed up." Boruto says with suprise.

"Well, duh, we wouldn't miss it for the world."Naruto says with a grin on his face.

"Hey, is Sadara alright, Boruto?" asks Sakura.

"Yeah, she's recovering right now,"replies Boruto. 

"Good to know." answers Sasuke as Boruto nods in agreement.

"Boruto, what did you name him?"asks Hinata.

"Yeah, Boruto, what's his name?" asks Himawari.

"Sadara and I came up with the name, Kai", replies Boruto.

"Heh, that's a pretty neat name." says Naruto. Sasuke smiles and nods his head to show his liking of the name. Suddenly, one of the nurses come running into the room with Kai in her hands. She looked shocked and frightened.

"What's wrong?" Boruto asks.

"T-the baby isn't breathing!!" screams the nurse.

"WHAT!? replies Boruto. Boruto quickly grabs Kai from the nurses hands and rushes towards Sakura. She nods, and without a word, starts using her chakra healing. 10 minutes go by, as Sakura despertly tries to heal Kai. She then suddenly stops, as tears fill her eyes.

"I"m sorry Boruto, he didn't make it", Sakura says as she sobs. A sudden dark and heavy silence fills the room. Boruto collapses to his knees.

"It...it can't be....", says Boruto as tears he had despertly tried to hold back earlier started to run down his face. "This can't be true....I won't believe it!" Boruto yells between sobs. His tears are filled with sadness and despair as he held Kai's lifeless body. "NO! Kai, please come back!" Sadara eyes fill with tears of sadness as well, although she can't believe what she had just heard.

"No... my baby... i-is dead?" Sadara's cries were also filled with sadness and despair. Everyone in the room felt the sadness. The room's cries of sadness had replaced the cries of Kai. And those cries were coming from Boruto and Sarada this time.
