Sadara stares at Boruto for a solid minute, making the yellow-haired Hokage quite nervous to say the least
"U-um Sadara did you hear what I said?" Boruto asks nervously
Sadara sighs and shakes her head a bit
"Yes I did, but Boruto, this sounds more than crazy. I know Arashi is skilled in medical ninjutsu but I don't think even he can pull something like that off. Bringing back someone from the dead is impossible"
"Hear me out. The main reason Kai didn't live was that he was missing a lung, correct? Well, Arashi knows how to make transplants, all we have to do is give him Kai's body, let him add the lung, and use Kai's chakra to revive him. That will work, right? All I'm saying is to at least try, please" Boruto says with a slightly desperate look on his face
Sadara thinks for a moment before she finally sighs and gives Boruto a small smile
"Fine, it's worth a shot, right?
Boruto hugs Sadara
"Thank you, I promise we'll have our son back...believe it" Sadara hugs Boruto back and nods her head in agreement
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------That night, Boruto and Sadara retrieved Kai's body and told their relatives that they'll be out of the village for a day or so. They traveled through the land of fire, reaching the colder climates before they soon found themselves in front of a large steel door at the entrance of a cave
"This is Arashi's lab? *Sadara says with a bit of suspicion in her voice as she holds the box containing her son*
Boruto nods
"Yep. This is where the coordinates lead to. I just hope someone's home" Boruto says walking up to the door and knocking on it three times
"Hey! Arashi, you there?"
After a few moments of silence, the doors suddenly open slowly before a figure walks out and stops in front of Boruto and Sadara. The said figure to be wearing warm shinobi clothes with a lab coat over the clothes. They would have black hair and yellow eyes, ones that a snake would have. The figure crosses his arms and smiles
"Who of all people except you would come knocking at my door at this hour Boruto"
Boruto laughs and scratches the back of his head
"You know me better than ever, how's it going Arashi, long time no see" Boruto says putting a hand on Arashi's shoulder with the signature Uzumaki grin on his face
"I've been alright, doing my own thing, while you've been running the show as Hokage, and here you said you didn't want to be Hokage" Arashi said chuckling
"Yeah, Sadara kind convinced me"
"I can tell, it's been a while Sadara" Arashi says to Sadara with a nod
Sadara smiles and nods looking over to Arashi's direction
"Good to see you too Arashi"
"Please come in, I'd rather talk in a place where it's warmer" Arashi says gesturing for Boruto and Sadara to walk inside
Boruto and Sadara both nod and they walk inside with Arashi, the steel doors closing behind them. Arashi goes to grab something as Boruto and Sadara looking around the lab. There are multiple test tubes, some empty some not empty, as well as computers and all sorts of equipment scattered about
"This place is certainly something, it's like being back at Orochimaru's lab, just not as big..." Sadara says looking around
Boruto nods as he looks around himself
"Yeah, it kinda does..."
Arashi comes walking back in
"Parden the mess. Anyways, knowing you both. You didn't come all the way out here just to visit. So fill me in on what business you're here for?" Arashi says crossing his arms
Boruto glances over to Sarada then back to Arashi and takes a deep breath.
"Sarada bore a child a week ago. My son named Kai, however, minutes after his birth he wasn't breathing and eventually died. He apparently was born with a missing lung. I wanted to know if you could possibly, use some of your medical ninjutsu and bring him back to life"
Arashi would nod hearing this before he thinks for a second then looks back at Boruto
"Well, normally there wouldn't be any jutsu that can bring back the dead other than the forbidden Reanimation Jutsu, which I don't mess with. Basically under normal circumstances bringing back the dead is impossible"
Sarada and Boruto would feel their hearts sink hearing what Arashi had to say, now thinking that there was no way to bring Kai back after all
"At least, that's what I would say. I've done my research and have practiced and experimented with many medical jutsus and I can say, with provided with enough time and equipment, I could bring your son back. However.....this would come with a price. Are you willing to pay for it?"
Boruto and Sarada would look at each for a moment, both most likely thinking before they say anything. After a few minutes, Sarada would nod to Boruto who would look back at Arashi and say with a calm tone:
"Yes. Do whatever you can with whatever you need. Just please....bring my son back"
Arashi would smile and hold out his hand towards Boruto, who takes it and shakes it as if finalizing a deal
"You've got yourself a deal, Lord 9th"
