Crystal's POV:
Mother and I walked back to the cave. My legs were sore from walking so when we reached home I went to lie down. Little did I know there was someone waiting at the entrance.
Petal's POV:
It has been a long day. Watching Crystal finally get her One Eyed mark after so long has lifted a weight off my shoulders. She'll be able to lead a normal life. I smiled at the thought. Then I heard a knock at the door. I walked over and opened it, Lita? "Petal, I have bad news," said Lita as she sighed. She looked at me with watery eyes. "Hypno had a vision, she said she saw a dark force coming to attack our clan. She said they were far but we needed to get The Elementals ready," Lita continued. I was in shock. "They start training as soon as Spring starts, teach Crystal the basics until then". Lita gave me one last look before vanishing. As soon as she was gone I broke down on the floor.
Crystal's POV:
I had a dream. It was of mother and I, we were walking in a forest. We continued walking and I saw a camp. I couldn't read what the sign said but I am pretty sure it was a training camp for the Elementals. Mother told me about them. Being an Elemental seemed so cool but I know I would never be able to be one. I was then awaken from my sleep. Mother was by my side. I sat up, my hair a mess and my dress dirty. I fell asleep on the floor. I looked up at mother, her cheeks stained with tears. "Mother, what is wrong?" I asked. She replied with a nod. Something was wrong. "Oh Crystal, I am so sorry," she wept, tears rolling down her cheeks. I opened my arms and hugged her tightly. What was she sorry for? "I-I'm so s-sorry.. Y-you can't live a n-normal life now.." she cried. "Why mother? What's going on?" I asked. "You have to t-train for the Elementals now-," her breath hitching. She took a deep breath and wiped her tears. I let go of her. "Don't cry mother, I'll be fine," I assured her while rubbing her hands. She looked at me and smiled. "What did I do to get a daughter like you," she said, smiling widely. I stood up and offered my hand. She took it and stood up. We walked to the entrance of the cave, hand in hand. We sat down and watched the sun set. Just Mother and I.
