"C'mon. Just a bit." Jisung is saying, pushing a cup of some mixed booze at my hand.
"Ugh! No!" I push it back. "I already had enough, Jisung." I shake my head. "You know I can't really handle my alcohol." I remind him. "I don't want a repeat on what happened before."
He chuckles then. "Shit. I remember that. You were almost devirginized. Damn!"
"Shut it!" I glare at him, then look around if any of the other drunk frat boys and sorority girls have heard. My face is now getting redder in embarrassment.
"Sorry." He tries to stifle his laughter but it comes out of his mouth just the same. "Sorry." He says again.
I shove him away. "Please. Don't mind me. Go do whatever you need to do. I'm fine here, Jisung." I tell him, giving him a weak smile. I think I saw him eyeing a guy ... guys ... earlier. And I don't want to hold him back on whatever 'thingie' he does with those men.
"And leave you alone here? No way. I invited you. I have to make sure you're having fun." He wiggles his brows at me. "Besides, I don't see any girl I'm interested in." He says.
I just smile. Men you mean? But, I keep that question to myself. Instead, I ask, "You mean there are no girls in this party that seems to be interested in you." I giggle.
"What?" He pretends to be hurt, but he's still smiling. "With this face? And this body?"
"I bet you can't get any girl home tonight." I shake my head. Jisung is really good looking, not to mention he has a very fit body. His chinky eyes would make him even cuter. I can't deny that he could get any girl he wants, if he just tries to make the first move. Unfortunately, he's too slow for them. Or he just doesn't like girls.
If he's just a bit taller, he'd be instantly offered a job at my agency. He wouldn't want to be part of it anyway. Actually, he was so against my job. He tried to stop me the time I decided to sign up with the company I'm in. He even tried to get me in different jobs. He would tell me about it every single time we see each other. He would give me a reason each time for me to quit. But, whatever his reasons are, they are overpowered by the money that was right in front of me.
"I bet YOU can't get any guy to sleep with you even with that face and that body of yours." He retaliates. "I bet you can't even get a guy to sit beside you for a minute. Has anybody ever told you how boring you are?"
"You said that plenty of times, Jisung." I giggle. "But, I don't have to be exciting to get men drool over my pictures now, do I?"
"Ugh!" He rolls his eyes at me as he shakes his head. "When are you gonna quit, Diane? You told me you were just gonna earn enough to get a house. Now that you have moved to a better apartment, why are you still working there?" The earlier cheerful mood we had turned serious. "You can afford to buy Eric's meds with a more decent job, you know that."
I grit my teeth and close my eyes, starting to get irritated. This is one of the times I hope I could just mute him. But, because I don't want to ruin the night since our initial purpose of coming here is to have fun and destress, I turn to him and fake a smile. "You know what? I'll take you up on your bet." I tell him, making him raise a brow in question. "You get a girl. I get a guy. Just for fun." I grin.
His expression stays the same for a while. "You serious?" He chuckles then.
I let out a loud sigh again. "Yup. What do you say?"
"What's the deal then?"
"Just for fun."
He smirks and I finally feel nervous at the look he gives me. "Let's make it more exciting. If I win, you quit."
