Welcome to Jade's Life

***

I giggled to my palm, holding the laughter to pass my lips when one of my friend tore her skirt of her uniform as she crawled out from the hole of the wooden fence.
She made curses under her breath while she straightened her body. But just like me, she tried so hard to not make too much sounds.

I couldn't make loud voices or I'd be caught.

Oh, correction.
We would be caught.

Now it's already four of us through the hole. One person to go and we're free to skip the class.
We had a plan to go to a mall then watch the new released superhero movie.

We couldn't wait until the school over. It's our exam next Monday and we were sure our parents wouldn't allow us to wonder around again this weekend.
So, we took our chances.

Gosh, this made my heart race in anxiety but it was so fun at the same time.
It might be not the same feeling that you feel when you do the bungee jumping but the rush of adrenaline inside me was exactly the same.
The feeling of excitement.

This wasn't the first time we broke the rules. But we didn't build our group reputation by following all the stupid lines on announcement board.
We broke them but somehow, we survived until the eleventh grade.

Me and my other friends were waiting for our last friend. After she saw what happened to the skirt of one of us, she moved carefully to not ruin her uniform. Too careful, I thought, and it took too much time.
I drummed my heel impatiently while Penny looked at our surrounding, made sure it's still safe. Beside me, Claire and Nova seemed impatient as well but it's only me who speak it out.

"Jeez, I'm getting old here!" I whispered as loud as I could.

"Shut up, Jade! It's not a big hole." Mia replied my complain as she crawled one step forward.

Great, one minute and she made just one move! Unbelievable!!!!

If I could I really want to munch the wood to make the hole bigger but it's impossible, wasn't it??

Finally, her ankle had passed the hole and we all made silence celebration by raising our hands high. Claire even jumped in excitement while Mia straightened her body and cleaned her legs from the dirt.

"I can't believe I'm going to the mall like this." Mia whined a bit, pursing her lips.

"You look alright, Mia." Nova responded. "Trust me, all the man will look at your body first, not your dirty skirt."

"Oh, yes. Man obviously will do that. They're stupid." Penny added, made Mia suddenly smiled brightly.

I rolled my eyes. The topic about boys maybe interesting for them but not me.
I needed them in my life, obviously, but just like Meghan Trainor said, boy's not my priority.

Sorry, boys. Don't take it personally.

"Are we going or not??" I asked them, getting annoyed since they still talked about boys and body.

"Patient, Jade. Your superhero will not move from cinema number one. It will be there for the rest of the week." Claire replied.

I pouted a bit. What's wrong with my interest with superhero movie?? I bet there were a lot of people out there couldn't wait to see their favorite superhero in action.

I sighed a bit as I combed my black hair backward with my fingers.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever! Can we just go now?"

Finally they all thought straight and nodded.
We picked up our bags from the ground and tiptoed along the fence.
Penny was in the front, she walked quickly and I was glad she did.
