I was walking to school, kicking all the leaves that had fallen from the nearby Autumn trees, the sound of them crunching on the sidewalk. I entered through the main gate and walked towards the cherry blossom tree, where I usually meet my friends Yu Na and Soo Mi. I had only just transferred to this school after living in Boston all my life because my dad received a job offering in Downtown Seoul. I don't know how to speak Korean but my mother said she would teach me some, since she lived in South Korea for three years. The reason Yu Na and Soo Mi are my friends is because they were nice enough to speak to me in English on my first day last week. The second they spoke to me, they made me feel welcome. I was half an hour early, like always, so I sat down at the trunk of the tree and started drawing a picture of the scenery of my school in front of me. I heard a rustle of leaves behind me and turned my head... No one was there. I continued sketching the lines of the school building but heard something strange again. I turned my head and a tall, familiar, quite attractive boy was smiling at me. His smile was the type that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside, and his dimples completed it. "Oh! You scared me!" I said to the boy. I started to stand up to talk to him, as I had never seen him in school before. "mian, naneun geuleon tteus-i aniya.", he replied. I think he could see the confused look on my face, as I didn't know what language he was speaking. "Oh I'm so sorry I thought you could speak Korean, as you are in South Korea right now.", He smirked. "Oh sorry, I only moved to South Korea last week.", he was leaning against the tree tilting his head, and looking at me like I was lost. "Well, hi. I'm Namjoon, sorry for startling you earlier, my friends say I'm good at doing that. But may I say, your artwork looks amazing, it's like nothing I have ever seen before." He looked at his phone as it seemed like someone was trying to call him. "Uh, thanks I love art but shouldn't you be answering those calls? His phone was buzzing because of the amount of messages he was receiving. "No, don't worry I am on break, my boss can call me later." I wondered what he was on break for, and why he had a boss, because he looked the same age as me. "Well ok.", I could see Yu Na and Soo Mi walking towards me whilst waving, "I sort of have to go, my friends are here now." Yu Na was whispering to Soo Mi and they giggled. Another student from the school pointed at Namjoon and her jaw dropped. I thought, what is wrong, why are they pointing at me?! Namjoon unlocked his phone and opened up contacts, he tapped on add new contact . "What's your name? You seem really nice and your artwork could be useful for the company I work for, in the future. Once you fill this out for me, I will let you go off to your friends over there. "Oh, my name is Cleo." I was confused of why he would need my artwork in the future but just went along with it and typed in my details on his phone. "Ok, thanks Cleo, I hope we can meet each other again soon!" Namjoon put his phone in his pocket and walked away waving to me, I waved back and started to walk to Yu Na and Soo Mi.
