Let’s get into the story.

She slides her head on the window, and gazed at the outer world. It is going to be a new journey. A very new place, new job, and new life. She turned to see her mother, lying over her shoulder and having a peaceful sleep after so many days.

Her father’s death had shaken her life. Her mother was devastated by the news. Being a single daughter she has now pushed into a bigger responsibility to run their life. Her father was always her support system. Her parent’s marriage was love marriage, against their family. So none of them came for her father’s mourning, not even for a courtesy. Thankfully, the saving her father made for her and his wife helped them. The haunting loneliness worsens their days, so they thought to vacate from there.

She got a job at Mumbai, a rural area, little developing into urban. She aimed for forensic, but ended up as a historic researcher. Appreciating her works, she got job at Andheriyam Mumbai to research about the Mahal surrounding area. Her mother wasn’t ready to vacate, but she insisted and took her along.

The organization, gave an accommodation, an old house nearer to their research place.

At the house outside,

“Maa, this is the house we are going to stay hereafter on” she said keeping the luggage and waiting for the packers truck to shift their things to this new place.

“Pragya, it looks very old. Have you checked before signing to this place?” Sarla worriedly asked her.

“Yes maa, it is old, but that doesn’t mean no one stays here. Before three months only the higher official of this organization vacated from here, due to his resignation” Pragya calmly explained

“Whatever you say, I feel something isn’t right here” Sarla said looking at house

Pragya shakes her head with disbelief ‘Maa would never change from worrying for unnecessary things! It is just an old house and looks like the person built the house was an ancient lover!’

After the truck reached the place, they started to arrange things inside the house. There was large living hall, nearer to that was kitchen and a small Mandir, a guest room. And the first floor does have four rooms, one Pragya occupied and Sarla occupied the other. Rest of the two rooms left unoccupied, and they thought to use it as either store room or study room.
