Chapter 2
He lightly stepped onto the bus. Looking around, scanning the room in an attempt to find Jace, his dear friend. He was looking for his light blonde hair, aiming to meet his mysterious dark blue eyes. Eventually, light blue eyes met dark sapphire ones. Walking over and collapsing into the seat next to Jace he smiles, happy to see his best friend. "Finn!" called Jace as he hugged Finnegan. Over time Jace had grown to be like a kind brother to him, treating each other as such. He looked at Jace's small minty green watch then at his own. Jace had only one hour and twenty three left on his watch. In turn Jace looked at the watch around Finn's wrist finding it to have seven hours and fifteen minutes. "So your meeting your lucky soulmate after school?" Jace lightly asked Finn in a slightly saddened tone, in turn Finn asked "And your meeting yours in first period...?" they both sadly nodded at each other. Both feared the loss of their bestfriend in the mess that could occur with their soulmates. "BUT WE CAN ALWAYS STAY BEST FRIEND'S RIGHT?!" Blurted out an on the bridge of tears Jace. Everyone in the bus turned looking at the two boys, first noticing their pitiful expressions, then the red around the eyes of Jace. "Of course man!" Finn said, obviously embarrassed that the whole bus stared at them for a moment. "But I don't think the whole town heard yet." He jokingly whispered to Jace. They shared a light laugh. By now Jace's face was so red, he could be the twin brother to a tomato. Slowly the bus reached the last stop, the school. Slowly falling out of the bus they saw the high school they go to, Skelousin High. A small school perfectly fitting into the small town of 10,000+. They walked into the school, chatting with useless gossip, when suddenly the words fell out of Jace's mouth, "What if we were soulmates? Huh Finny~" nervous laughter erupted from Finnegan, it had been awhile since he had shaken off the small helpless crush on Jace. Yet Jace was meeting his soulmate, probably some beautiful girl named Jessica, in only thirty minutes, it would be useless to tell about the childhood crush now. Finn looked at his best friend of 9 years. He was after all, the only guy who talked to him in elementry. Jace was, and still is, fairly popular, he had blonde hair, cut to his mid back neck. His dark sapphire eyes giving him a mysterious aura, yet only Finnegan could decode those eyes. Jace was bisexual, coming out gave him the absolute best reputation. All of the others treating him like some royal exotic, white tiger. A tiger Finn grew popular with, as Finn was ordinary, but in the same way special. Finn was somewhat of the ying to his yang. Having dark ebony hair and light blue-grey eyes with the sweetest, friendliest smile. Nothing as intimidating as his best friend.
