[Meanwhile (Tyler's story)]
*Bang Bang Bang Bang*
*Baang Baang Baang Baang*
"Tyler!!!! T-Y-L-E-R!!!!! Get your ass out of bed or at least shut off your damn alarm! I'm trying to sleep," a loud belligerent voice screamed.
With his eyes still shut he raised his nearly limp arm and dropped it on the top of the clock, hitting the off button and knocking it face down. After a few seconds Tyler opened his eyes and gripped the clock, slowly turning the numbers into view. His eyes focused and he was able to make out the numbers 7 2 4.
It's 7:24! he exclaimed mentally.
"Ah shit!" Tyler muttered aloud as he flung his sheets off his body leaping out of bed and headed for the shower. As soon as he left the safe confides of his room and began making his way down the dark hallway, he started knocking empty and partly full liquor bottles with his feet.
Why does Jeff have to be such a slob.... Oh wait! It's because he's a drunk!
His uncle Jeff may not have been the best choice of guardian, but he was the only next of kin that lived in the state, so Tyler had to put up with his belligerency until he went off to college. Tyler made it to the bathroom after having knocked over two and a half beer bottles, accidentally kicking an empty vodka bottle, and stepping on his uncle's prized cat "Pookie." Tyler absolutely hated that cat, he had thought up multiple scenarios on how his uncle would have acquired such a wretched thing, but ultimately believed that his uncle found it outside a bar and decided to take it home that had followed a long night of drinking.
After finishing his impetuous shower, Tyler scurried back to his safe-haven, pulled on some clean clothes, sprinted out the door, hopped on his bike, and raced to school for the last time that year.
He checked the time on his phone once he passed the "Quick Stop," which marked the quarter mile mark from his house, 7:35 was highlighted in white. That meant Tyler had twenty five minutes to get 4.75 miles to school, he quickened his pace leaning side to side, pumping his legs with furry.
His dirty-blonde hair tossed each time he leaned, getting in the way of his blue-green eyes. His breathing was steady and smooth, he'd been in bigger hurries than today so twenty five minutes to get to school wasn't anything new.
Tyler rushed out of his house, hopped on his bicycle and started pedaling with angst. He gripped the handles with his muscular forearms, manipulating them with precision as he weaved around parked cars and around corners. His dirty-blonde hair swayed, making its way in front of his blue-green eyes, as he quickly dodged an open car door. His legs were big and heavy with muscle, filled with fibers that were torn and ripped, day in and day out, after hours spent on the tennis courts. And they pushed hard against the pedals, flexing and relaxing after every actuation. Sweat began to form on the top of his brow, trickling down his oval face and rolling off of his slightly broad jaw. His shirt began to cling his stout abdomen, slowly beginning to limit his mobility.
Speeding down the Student Parking driveway he turned in past the cafeteria heading towards his first period. The school's layout was different than most, it was an open style campus, meaning the hallways were open, covered by metal roofing and faced grassy squares.
A security guard yelled at him as he whizzed passed at high speed, he skirted around a corner and hopped off his bike, turning into the first open door on his right when the bell rang.
