Chapter 1 - Overslept

THANKS FOR OPENING MY STORY <3 this is my first time publishing a fanfic so I can't promise it'll be good. Please bear with me ;_; I'll try to update as often as I can, but with school that might not be as often as I hope...please enjoy anyways!

The breeze was frigid on this crisp winter evening. Christmas lights shone brightly and lit up the streets as their colours danced across every inch they could.

I sat quietly at my desk and twiddled with my pencil as I stared out the window at the falling snow. My homework laid in front of me, only half complete due to my lack of attention. Tomorrow is a big day, I am heading to an audition at SM entertainment. Singing was always one of my favourite hobbies, and my mother suggested I try out as the company is currently around in Toronto looking for talent. Not only this, but three days more and I will be performing at my school. Why? Our school is running an orientation program that is meant to help students who are new to the country feel more comfortable. Because I love kpop, and I happen to know how to sing a few Mandarin songs, the head of the program asked me to perform one of them. I couldn't say no, although I'm not huge on performing in front of large audiences so it is only natural to feel anxious. At the same time, I am very excited to let everyone hear my voice as none of my friends have really heard me before. I snapped back to reality as I stared back down at my paper, and after gaining my concentration back, finished it and head off to bed.

The following morning, I woke up to the sound of my mother barging into my bedroom. "Do you know what time it is?!" She exclaimed. I groggily opened my eyes and glanced in the direction of the clock. 1:04. I shot up immediately and threw on the first thing I could find. My toothbrush hung out of my mouth as I hopped myself into a pair of skinny jeans, before I dashed out of the house with a bagel being held by my teeth. My mother stood at the door and watched me run off while shaking her head. "I really need to get that girl an alarm clock."

1:04? 1:04?! I can't believe I slept in that late. The audition is at 1:30, and downtown Toronto is at least a 40 minute trip from my small home in Mississauga.

"This is just great," I mumbled under my breath as I dashed onto a GO-bus. As I mumbled to myself, I bumped into something, well, rather someONE, and I would've tumbled onto the floor if it hadn't been for the kind stranger's arms. I rebalanced myself and shyly rubbed the back of my head, collecting my bag from the floor. "S-sorry, I'm a bit of a klutz..." I said quietly as I looked up. I froze in my spot and all the blood completely drained from my face. Standing in front of me was none other than Luhan, my bias from EXO, which was my absolute favourite kpop group. Like ever. What the heck was HE doing here?!

I swallowed loudly and stared directly into his eyes, as he gazed at me with an amused smile. "You look like you've seen a ghost," he said with a chuckle. We sat down in the nearest pair of seats, and I managed to recollect myself. "U-um, thank you so much for helping me out," I said shyly, not bringing myself to look at him, as I knew he was looking at me. "No problem, not like I was going to let a girl topple onto the disgusting floor of a public bus." He said. I could tell by his voice that he was still smiling. My face was still white, however my cheeks were burning hot from sitting so close to Luhan.

"So, what was your 'this is just great' all about?" Luhan asked me curiously. He heard that?! My goodness, I thought to myself. I realized I was just looking dumbly at him as I thought to myself. "O-oh, u-um..." Was all I could mumble after I realized I was just staring at him. "Haha, you're so cute. What's your name? I'm Luhan, but by the way you're acting, I'm assuming you know quite well who I am." He laughed. He thinks I'm cute? "My name is ___..," I said with a nervous smile as I shook his hand. "Um, well about what I said earlier..," I started, "you see, I'm auditioning for SM, and my audition is supposed to be at 1:30, but I overslept this morning and now there's no way I'll make it on time." I sighed. "Oh, is that all?" Luhan asked with a surprised expression. I looked at him questioningly, as he pulls out his cell phone and dials a number. He starts talking in Mandarin, and from the few words I could make out, I assumed he was talking about my audition. He hung up and smiled at me. "They won't mind if you're a little late, I let them know that you're with me." Luhan said. "W-wow, thank you so much Luhan, you really don't have to do so much for-" he cut me off as he pressed his finger against my lips. "Shh, stop thanking me. You're so silly." He giggled as he held his finger against my lips and gazed deeply into my eyes. Oh god. My cheeks again. I quickly turned my head away, and he withdrew his hand from my face.

"So you sing?" He broke the long period of silence. "Oh, um, yeah." I replied. "What sort of stuff do you sing?" "I like EXO actually, I sing a lot of your music," I said with a slight smile as I looked out the window. "Really? You sing Korean?" He says, and I felt his gaze on me again. "W-well, no, for most EXO songs I prefer the mandarin versions..." I started. "You sing mandarin?! That's impressive!" He says with a smile. He pokes my cheek as he says, "can you sing for me right now? Pleaseeee?" My eyes widened as I glanced over at him. He was so adorable. No way could I sing in front of my biggest role model and crush. Luckily, the GO-bus stopped at the building I was looking for exactly at that moment. "Whoops, maybe another time!" I laughed nervously as I stood up and walked towards the front of the bus. Luhan got up and passed me, hopping off of the bus ahead of me. "You're right! I'll just wait for your audition!" He winked at me before walking into the building. I stepped off the bus and stood there in complete shock at his words, unable to process exactly what had just happened.

SOOO SMOOTH LUHAN. NOT REALLY.

Gah at least I got part 1 up. Sorry it's so short :c part 2 is in process atm and I swear it'll be up soon <3 thank you for reading, you guys are all baes c:
