After we get done eating Garrett took me to the Santa Monica Pier and we were on the way to get Tater Tot's even thought we just ate.
"Jess?"
"Garrett?" Garrett turned and looked at me with his eyes filling with happiness but ended up staring at me. "Stop starring you weirdo."
"Is that anyway to speak to someone who's buying you tater tot's even thought we just ate?"
"Oh that's right." I giggled.
We talked about anything and everything in the line for tater tot's.
"Mhh. I literally love tater tots. Like you have no idea."
"Then maybe I should call you tater tot instead of Jessy." Asher suggested.
"Tater Tot? No. At least I like those I hate kids. But still. No." I muttered.
If your wondering why I say I hate kids when my nicknames has nothing to do with kids well it does.
My little cousins name is Jessy (yes I know weird) and she is annoying as hell
"Jess!" Asher laughed. "You can't say that!"
"Well it's the truth and I speak nothing but the truth!"
"Why do you hate them?"
"Well because one, They are Nagy and two, because at the age of eight my mother taught me how babies were made. I was scarred for life."
"She didn't!?"
"Oh but she did and still has yet to say sorry! I'm like bish get a grip of yourself! No eight year old needs to know that!" I said waiting for the person in front of us to hurry up so we can order.
We stepped up to order and my eyes widend with shock.
"Jessica and- and Garrett! I should have known ya'll would end up fucking each other! I shouldn't have let Jess move in with me because of you." Brendan grunted pointing at Garrett.
"Oh shut the hell up for once in your life Brendan! do you not understand that he makes me happy?" I whisper-shout.
"Brendan calm down we are just having a date. We are adults and we are allowed to do that. You are not Jessica father nor are you her guardian. So get used to it." Garrett mumbled.
I looked over at Garrett from his sudden outburst, and his eyes were filled with confidence.
A glossy layer, layered my eyes and I blinked the tears away. Of course the first date I went on in a long time it gets ruined by my brother.
What has my life become? Oh a horror movie. My life has become a horror movie.
I turn around my vision going blurry and everything around me went away like I was the only one there. I dropped my tater tots out of my hands and ran over the closes stair case that takes me to the beach.
Tears silently rolled down my cheeks and it feels like Brendan is the reason for it.
That sounds bad but he acts like he cares when he doesn't care about who I love and says I can't love anyone.
Fuck him.
I went under the pier but not to far under that way Garrett can find me. My tears dried up by now and my eyes were red and puffy and looked raw.
Good thing I wore water proof makeup.
I heard someone call my name.
"Jessica!? Come on kitten please come here."
I sniffled wiping my face from the tears still on there.
"Over here."
Garrett sprinted over to me and wrapped me in a tight hug. "Why were you crying Kitten?"
I sighed running my hands through my hair and blinked back tears filling my eyes.
"You we my first date in a while and it was ruined by Brendan. It's all my fault to. If I just would've said no I wouldn't be in this mess but I can't say no to you. I like you to much." I said with my voice barley above a whisper.
"Jess," Garrett said sternly. "Look at me."
I felt a silent tear fall and I looked away wiping it away.
"Kitten."
I snapped my head towards him.
"It is most definitely not you fault. What Brendan said was not in anyway shape or form, and trust me when I say this he will be hearing about it later from me, is ok. Brendan needs to understand that if we want to Be together we will be. So Jessica Jacobs it is not your fault and our date isn't ruined."
I walked out to the beach shore and sat down on a random towel.
I felt a presence around me and I snapped my head up and saw Garrett's brown eyes falling into mine.
"I know but if I didn't want tater tots he wouldn't accuse me of this." I sniffled.
"It's not your fault Kitten."
