You'll be the king, I'll be the queen,Prancing in rags wherever we may be,
Over some hilltops or far out at sea,
You'll be the king and I'll be the queen.
Because our love carries more worth than a millionaire can buy,
Or a billionaire can ever have,
Because our love carries more weight than millionaire can buy
Or a billionaire can ever have,
So don't be mad,
That we're royals that rather have rags than riches,
And don't see it as something bad
Though our riches may not show in our rusty crowns and in our clothes,
Just know,
That when you'll be the king and I'll be the queen,
We'll have the finest rags that we can ever dream,
Onlookers might think us funny,
That we have not one cent to call money,
But it's alright becaus you'll be the king and I'll be the queen,
So where do we start? Wherever that be,
We'll ride in a broken down carriage,
Or on the cheapest donkey,
And when we've traveled around,
And decide to settle down,
Maybe in Kalamazoo or in Timbucktoo,
You'll still have me and I'll still have you
And if we have a few children to call our own,
To them it will be known,
All our gifts and lessons to send them out into the world,
And that one secret that will always stay true,
That love will always have more to offer than money will ever do,
So when they've learned those lessons and secrets and our children are on the road,
We'll bid the world a farewell when it our time to go,
Hand in hand, forever together,
And don't you worry and don't you cry,
As were on to greater places as we close our eyes,
And say goodbye,
Because you'll be my king, I'll be your queen,
We'll ride into the sunset wherever that may be,
On that gorgeously,horribly,cheap donkey,
We'll have the finest rags that we can ever dream,
You'll be the king and I'll be the queen.
