12 - Tete-a-tete

RJ woke up to the sound of his alarm; it was for Maine's medicine. They've been keeping tabs of each other's reminders: meds, supplements, her pills, appointments, daily bible readings. He saw a barrage of missed calls, text messages, notifs on his phone but he ignored it. Yes, he needs to update his family about Maine, which he promised them, and also check with Leysam about work. That can wait. For now, he just wants quality alone time with her.

He moved closer to her sleeping figure and covered her exposed breasts with the sheets. He spent leisure time staring at her face, memorizing every line and frown, her thick brows, long lashes, well-shaped nose, pouty lips, flawless skin. As if he hasn't done that before. His finger was drawing doodles on her exposed skin and turned around grinning, facing him though with eyes still closed. He kissed her lips softly, teasing her to open up. And when she did, they started to devour each other's mouth like famished beasts. He squeezed her taut nipples while her hands traveled from his biceps to his chest to his bulge. She was stroking his length like taming a puppy, alternately juggling his balls, enfolding the shaft, tracing visible veins and fisting on the head. She was taking her time. "Tangena ang saraaap! Maine turned her back on him to hide her watery eyes.

He can hear her sniffling.

"Natatakot ako na mag-usap tayo, okay?"

"Kasi hindi ko na kakayanin kung aalis ka ulit."

"..."

"I was lost nung bigla ka na lang nang-iwan. Ang hirap ngumiti sa harap ng camera pero pinipilit ko para sa yo. Kasi yun ang dapat."

He was sobbing this time.

"Ayaw kong umiiyak ka. Mukha kang payb."

"Mas ayaw kong umiiyak ka. Nadudurog puso ko."

"Patingin ng durog."

"Dilaan na lang kita."

"Mabigat pa rin pala sa dibdib. Akala ko kaya ko na."

"I'm here kasi sabik na sabik ako sa yo."

He remembered the condoms. She reminded herself to take the morning after pill.
