My pointer hovered over the submit button, my mind still regretting letting my best friend talk me into getting a social media. Okay, I have an Instagram, with little to no followers, but this?
A social media for anonymous chatting? With strangers? Ugh. I scowled at my computer screen, tempted to just turned around and never look at the website again.
Why am I doing this, again? Right, because Ariane told me she'll burn my stash of pocky if I don't. No one touches my pocky. Also because Keely and Harry actually got together. Stupid bets.
Giving one last sigh of defeat, I clicked the left button on my mouse. A welcome page appeared and I went through the tutorial with a permanent scowl. Yup, this scowl is never going away. Ever.
Create an anonymous name? My fingers sat limply over the keyboard. Great, another time for my infamous trait of indecisiveness to take effect. I ran to multiple names in my head. My scowl deepened.
I sat for a good ten minutes, my fingers resting on my computer, contemplating what name I wanted people to know me as.
Finally, I decided. I entered the name and pressed enter.
The screen shifted, 'You are ready to start chatting, ABlankPage!'
It left me with a blank chat page, ironic. I frowned, but not a second later a message popped up. My permanent scowl lifted as I blinked owlishly at the text on my screen.
JustExtraOrdinary: Hey.
You. Yeah, whoever you are, JustExtraOrdinary, it was supposed to be permanent, goshdarnit!
