Friends Don't Lie

I love Stranger Things! That's how I got the idea for the title. Hope you guys enjoy!

Sabine had already woken up before Ezra. She pulled the covers off and was shocked to find scars on Ezra's chest and back. I touched one of them with my bare finger, running down along the scar. I removed my finger as he turned towards my direction. I got up and pulled the covers over Ezra then changed into mt clothes. Sabine smiled lightly at her friend then left her cabin and the door closed behind her. "Good morning, Hera." I said to the Twi'lek as I saw her walk by me. "Morning, Sabine. How's Ezra? I thought I heard him scream last night?" She asked me. "He uh, had a bad dream is all." Sabine answered back looking at Hera. "If you say so. Oh, and breakfast is ready. Tell Ezra to get up before his food gets cold." Hera said then walked to the common room with Kanan. I sighed then walked into my cabin. "Ezra, breakfast is ready." I said shaking him a little. I backed up as he woke up and stretched. My face turned slightly red as I saw his trained muscles flex. "Um, I'm just going t-to go." I stammered as I back into the wall then walked out of my cabin. Ezra looked confused at the mandalorian then yanwed and got out of bed. He went to his own cabin and threw on a white T-shirt and wore his usual pants. Ezra then made his way into the kitchen and sat down by Sabine. "So, what's for breakfast?" I asked Sabine leaning back. "Space waffle and blue milk. The usual." Sabine said with a smile then brought her food over to the table along with mine. She set my plate and carton in front of me then sat down and started to eat. I looked at her then ate my food too. "So, any plans for today?" I asked with a mouthful or waffles. Sabine giggled and shook her head. "Not that I know of." She said after thinking for a moment. "Why?" Sabine asked looking at the jedi. "No reason. I was just wondering.." Ezra said half lying. "Ezra... how did you get your scars?" Sabine asked out of the blue. She had been anxious to know how Ezra got his scars all morning. "W-what scars?" Ezra asked, pretending not knowing what Sabine was talking about. "I mean the ones that are all over your back and chest. I don't think I've ever seen so many scars." I said to him. Beside your own. Sabine thought to herself. "Look, I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't have any scars." Ezra lied. "Ezra, don't lie to me! I saw them when I pulled then covers off this morning. I'm not a dumb ass." I said rolling my eyes, not realizing I cussed. I could tell Ezra was slightly taken aback. I then watched him as he stood up and left. This morning just went from perfect to terrible. Who cares. Friends don't lie. He lied to Sabine. She looked down and laid her head on the table. "How many more people are going going to lie to me?" I asked myself then looked at the empty hallway. 'I guess I should go and apologize to him...' Sabine thought to herself. She then got and knocked on Ezra's cabin door. "Go away, Sabine." He said back to me. I sighed. "Ezra, you have every right to be upset at me. I just wanted to say I'm sorry..." I said sincerely and looked. I then looked back up to see Ezra standind right in front of me. "I forgive you." He said then hugged me. Sabine was slightly shocked but she hugged him back. "Thank you." Sabine whispered into his ear then smiled, but it faded into a frown. "What's wrong?" Ezra asked her, sensing something was wrong with her. "Just... can you make a promise you'll never lie again?" She asked looking down. "I think I can try." Ezra, then lifted her chin up and smiled. Sabine smiled weakly.
