The morning of Buckston Academy is quite a bustle.
For a couple of months, a few aspiring students had been running for student government positions and for the same amount of time, they had been at their bestest to win what they believe is what they should be.
And that very same morning, is their final chance of seizing it.
The Green Committee Candidate Speeches day.
"Chanchhh!" A very excited voice called out for her from the crowd. Dinah Jane Hansen, her best friend, came pushing through the crowd of annoyed students who can only roll their eyes coz let us face it, Dinah can beat their asses right there.
Camila beamed at the sight of her best friend. "Chinaaaaa!"
Dinah gave her a big bear hug and lifted her off her feet like she weighs nothing. "Your speech, girl. You slayed it-- OH MY GODDD You're totally gonna win this."
"Dinah!" She whisper-yelled, her face turned a bright shade of red as other students near the back stage turned to watch them two. "Your voice!"
But she had to admit, she got a bit more positive feedback from the students more than the other two candidates.
Camila isn't much into student council or anything that has to do with politics, or any plans of gaining some sort of publicity altogether. But one of her teachers advises her about trying out for the Green Committee because it could earn her a lot of extra credits and will definitely help her in getting into a decent college soon.
At least she can try, right?
And there she was, spending the last two months going all over campus and making sure to make her platforms be known to her fellow students. Despite her usual shy nervous self, her competitive side believes she can run the committee treasury well with her team.
"Mila, have you heard yourself from up there?" Her best friend demanded, gesturing at the stage. "You voice screams 'MISS TREASURER' all over again. Damn, I'm such a proud mama." Dinah puts her hand on her chest dramatically.
Camila giggled at the sight, knowing if she has the biggest supporter on Earth, that would be this tall raging bitch standing beside her, which had always been her sister for life.
Just as she was about to keep telling herself she can win this year, the announcer on stage came up once again to introduce the next speaker. "And the next Candidate for Buckston Academy Green Committee President, Lauren Jauregui."
The said girl was already on stage, dressed in sophisticated black dress and a pair of Louboutin skyscraper heels, leaning up on the podium like she owns it then blessed everyone with a winning smile.
Causing the crowd to cheer and holler wildly.
"True or false..." Lauren Jauregui started in clear and highly confident voice. "You are an aggressively unattractive person. Hatchet face, face-ache, face like a burnt Lego."
The group of students Lauren focused on stepped back, intimidated.
Camila frowned heavily, feeling bothered as she knew this wouldn't be easy for some students who can hear.
The very same girl on stage is Lauren Jauregui as everyone always known about. Daughter of the number one news anchor Michael Jauregui here in Los Angeles with actress Clara Jauregui who unfortunately passed away a few years back.
Ever since, Lauren rose to fame in the campus and went on a very mean rampage on everyone she finds unattractive. To be honest, Camila had always sees her as one of the most beautiful being she ever seen. Average height, porcelain flawless complexion, raven black hair, charismatic green eyes and a confident aura like a royalty.
