I'm thrashing in my bed feeling as if I'm slipping between two worlds. It is terrible, some thing I'm all too familiar with. I hear a muffled groan ,not too sure if its from me.

Twisting and trying to climb out of this pit of torment its like I'm no longer inside my own body.

Thump.
I fall off and hit the hardwood floor and slowly my consciousness falls into place. There is a sting on the side of my head and I roll over unto the carpet swearing under my breath. I feel pathetic but I've come to know nothing more than these horrible dreams that rob my peace of mind almost every time I close my eyes long enough.

After I shower and have some water to drink I go downstairs and find breakfast on the table. My appetite is gone though. Shrugging, I dust the waffles and bacon into Frida's plate. The dog tilts her head looking at me , her golden brown fur gleaming in the sunlight and lets out a little bark.

"I know it's mine Frida. Eat up."
My companion for the past two years ducks into the waffles within a second and I bite into my apple.
Within 25 minutes I am on my way to the department and I'm wondering what Tye had found out.
This didn't have to puzzle me for long because the blinded doors flew open for me and he was yapping of in a hurry.

"Bryson! There was a reason why Alison couldn't be found in any records when she was younger. She was adopted from a home in Winchester. Mrs. Harrison did not want to let off that information because the girl's papers weren't straight. Turns out she's not even from the UK. Digging around I found out she is American. Somewhere called Dentroy or something like that is not clear yet but the other girl was mixed up in some prostituting business........" Tye ramble's on and on but for some moments after I hear him mention America I am distracted and inverted into my own thoughts.
"....the guys are saying its just wrong place wrong time but I think.. I believe there's more to-" I can hardly hear him now as I sit into my chair.
"Hey man, you alright?" Tye suddenly says in a low tone, snapping me back.

" Yes, " I say " yes, but let me ask you something.."

"Hmm?" He has an excited look on his face. He is ready to go deeper in this case.

Sucking in a breath I ask slowly " Is Mrs. Harrison pushing this case? Is she fighting to know what happened? And who did it?"
Tye thinks for a second and then tells me what I'm hoping to hear; that the poor woman is so overwhelmed with grief she wants to move on and she can't bear a case that might even go to trial because it is too painful to handle.
"..but I know she just doesn't feel the need for justice yet. Man she's just heartbroken but soon she'll want some answers.." He begins to say something else but I stop him

"Tye.. I think we should listen to her. If she doesn't want closure, Drop it." I say.
"C'mon man its just getting good we had a witness ready to identify a few perps who were trying to harass the women that night" he pushes.

I shake my head with determination. "No. Next case. For the sake of Mrs. Harrison, we leave it alone."
Inside I know bloody well that I'm fixing to do some investigation on my own. Something isn't right.
