"I Knew You Weren't Asleep." [One Shot]

My eyes started to droop down as my body sunk into the couch with my head resting on the arm rest. The last thing I saw were the flashing of the television being played in front of me. I snuggled deeper into the couch with my fluffy pillowpet in my arms. I felt a part of the couch sink as a hand began to run through my hair. A pair of soft, warm lips gently touched mine, but I continued to feign sleep. His sweet/husky voice whispered against my neck, making it tingle with delight, “I know you’re awake and I can tell you’re trying so hard not to smile right now.” I can just imagine him smiling after he finished his sentence. I laid still, trying to sustain a straight face with my eyes closed. I felt his lips touch mine again, this time only harder. My resistance fell as I began to kiss him back, but he pulled away. “I knew you weren’t asleep,” his voice rang in my ears. I resisted an urge to smile, but failed. I opened my eyes slowly and pulled him closer to me by the collar of his shirt and kissed him.
