3rd Person
Yato and Yukine were fighting a phantom while Hiyori was watching from the sideline.
"This is the land of the rising sun. Your desecration shall not be allowed. Hear me, I am the god Yato. I lay thee waste with Sekki and expel thy vast defilement! I cleanse thee!" Yato sliced the large snake like phantom in two, killing it. "Yukine." He said sending Yukine back to his human form.
"Are you OK?" Hiyori asked Yato looking at his injured hand.
"He's fine, it's just a scratch." Yukine answered before Yato could answer for himself.
"She never asked you!" Yato shouted "for all you know I could be dying. . ." He pouted.
"Doesn't look like your dying to me- huh?" Yukine's gaze was focused on something behind Hiyori.
"What's wrong Yukine?" Hiyori asked him concerned.
"A regalia!" Yato shouted, rushing over to the thing Yukine was staring at.
Hiyori turned around to see a little ball of light, hiding in a corner. It reminded her of Yukine when he was a little ball of light. 'Do all regalia look like this at the start?' She thought.
Yukine walked up to Yato. "What are you going to do with it?" He asked looking at the small helpless ball of light.
"Yukine," Yato started "would it be okay with you if I. . . Got another regalia? Would you like a partner?"
Yukine stood there staring at helpless ball of light more intensely now. He sighed. "We can't just leave it to get corrupted by phantoms, so. . . Sure."
"Spirit you are lost and adrift. You have nowhere to go and nowhere to return, thus I grant you a place to belong! My name is Yato and bearing two names you shall remain here. With these names I make thee my servant. With these names I use my life to make thee a regalia fit to be wielded by a God! Though art Kazune, and regalia, Naoki. Come, Naoki!" The spirit turned into a cream coloured pistol and flew into Yato's hand.
"Kazune, huh. . . Sounds cool enough." Yukine mumbled.
"What do you mean 'cool enough'! I put my heart and soul into picking out that name!" Yato argued.
"Whatever you say. . ." Yukine joked.
"Guys! Are you forgetting about Kazune? I'm sure they don't want you guys to fight like this in front of them." Hiyori stood between them to stop any further insults.
"Kazune!" Yato shouted. In place of the gun appeared a girl, around the same age as Yukine. She has waste length brown hair and amber eyes, just like Yukki. She was shivering from the cold. Yato took of his tracksuit jacket and handed it to her. "Here." He said.
Kazune looked at the jacket. "No thank you."
Yukine started laughing. "No one wants the jacket of a sweaty bum like you!" He laughed.
Kazune looked at Yukine and smiled making Yukine's cheeks turn a rosy colour. "What's your name?" She asked.
"Oh um, I'm Yukine. I'm Yato's blessed regalia." He introduced himself, his cheeks still red.
"It's nice to meet you Yukine." She greeted him. She tuned to face Hiyori. "What's your name?"
"I'm Hiyori Iki, it's nice to meet you Kazune." Hiyori smiled at her while Yato sulked in the background because his regalia wasn't speaking to him.
"It's nice to meet you too, Hiyori." She turned around to face the sulking Yato. "What's wrong?" She asked not understanding why he was so upset.
"Nothing. . ." He folded his arms like a spoilt kid.
"Oh-" she started but got cut off by her rumbling stomach.
"Are you hungry?" Hiyori asked getting a nod from Kazune.
"Daikoku should have dinner ready over in Kofuku's. We are going there anyway so why don't we eat there." Yukine suggested.
"Good thinking!" Yato jumped up and grabbed Kazune's hand and started dragging her in the way of Kofuku's place.

                                                        Time skip

"Yatty!" Kofuku jumped onto Yato and gave him a big hug.
"Kofuku," Yato started "this is Kazune, my new regalia." Kofuku turned to look at Kazune.
"Hello Kazu~ I'm Kofuku!" She hugged Kazune so tight she found it hard to breath.
"Idiot." Someone said " why did you get a new regalia when you can't even look after the one you have!" Daikoku hit Yato in the head with a soup ladle.
"Ow. . ." Yato complained.
"Daikoku, Kazune is hungry and tired. Is it okay if she has something to eat and somewhere to sleep?" Yukine asked.
"No. I never even agreed to let Yato come here and now he wants another one of his regalia here! He doesn't even do any chores, why should I help him!?" He hit Yato again with the soup ladle.
"Stop it!" Yato rubbed the bump on his head.
"Please, it's not our fault we have that lazy bum as our master." Yukine looked at him pleadingly.
Daikoku looked at Kazune and found himself unable to say no. "Fine." He mumbled "but she better help out around here."
"Thank you very much, sir." Kazune thanked him.
"Call me Daikoku, kid." Daikoku said and walked back inside to finish cooking dinner.
"It looks like it's going to rain." Hiyori looked up at the sky.
"I really hope it's not a thunderstorm. . ." Kazune whispered.
"What?" Asked Hiyori.
"Oh, nothing." Kazune waved her hands about reassuringly.
"Come on, the food's ready." Yukine said to Kazune. Kazune followed Yukine inside.
Hiyori walked over to Yato. "This might just be Yukine's first ever friend as a regalia since Suzuha." Hiyori looked at Kazune and Yukine talking while they ate. It was like they knew each other for years.
"Yeah. . ." Yato mumbled.
"What's wrong?" Hiyori asked him.
"Nothing big, it's just. She's afraid of thunderstorms." Yato looked at Kazune. It was then that Hiyori noticed her looking wearily up at the sky every now and then.
