Scarlett's POV

I start on my usual morning routine. I've been at school for about a month now, and I've followed the same routine. Wake up, shower, get dressed, make lunch, walk to school. School hasn't gotten any better. Although, people have stopped asking me questions, so that's a plus.

I start on my worksheet as I sit in first block. The work is pretty easy. I feel a few people staring at me, but I just tune them out with my earbuds.

I eat lunch alone again. No one sits with me, probably because they think I'm weird. I don't blame them, I'd probably make the same choice.

School finally ends and I start walking home. As I'm listening to music I feel a tap on my shoulder. I take out one of my earbuds and stop, looking at who tapped me. It's that blonde and brown haired boy in my class.

"Your Scarlett right," he asks with a polite smile, "I've seen you walking home, and I thought you might enjoy some company."

I shrug and take out the other earbud. I wave for him to join me as I keep walking. He follows beside me.

"I've heard you don't speak, is that true," he asks.

I roll my eyes and nod. Figures, he's just like everyone else...

"That's pretty cool. My name's Sangwoo by the way," he says with a kind smile.

He sounds like everyone else, but he doesn't smile like them. Everyone else has this fake, plastered on smile. But him, his seems genuine. Almost like Jason's only.... different. We walk home together the rest of the day. Turns out he lives on my street.

I sit on the couch and watch TV, with a bowl of popcorn. I still have my mouth mask on, it's just unzipped. People have been asking about it. Everyone but Sangwoo. Jason wants me to make friends, but I don't really know how that's gonna happen.

I'm in the middle of my 4th episode of a Supernatural marathon when Jason walks in from work. He seems tired but he looks at me and smiles, saying hey before putting his stuff down and sitting beside me. We talk about the show before going to bed. I can't believe he picks Crowley over Castiel.

I wake up the next morning and go through my usual routine. I get to school and start on today's work.

Sangwoo's POV

I glance at Scarlett as she takes notes. She looks bored, with her headphones in. I don't know why, but I'm curious about her. Maybe it's the fact that she's new, or maybe it's her mask. Or her long artificially dyed blue hair with the pink tips.

She's different from the rest. I want her, I wonder how bum would feel if I brought her home...

A smile makes its way onto my face. I look away and pretend to be doing my work. I have a decent grade in here, so I don't think it matters if I get a zero.

I start to plan out how I'm gonna take her in my head as the day drags on. After school I walk her home again. She seems uninterested in the conversation we're having, honestly so am I. I start asking her questions about where she's from and what she's doing here. She answers a few in her little notepad. Her silence is intriguing. I wonder how loud she screams? I almost chuckle at the thought.

Scarlett's POV

Sangwoo was very curious today. I answered his questions easily and waited for the walk to be over. I hate being asked questions. I mean, why do they have to be so interested in me anyway? Don't they have their own lives to live?

When I get home, I go up to my room and finish my homework, before I decide to draw. I draw a large house. It looks like a perfect house, one you'd find on those movies with the perfect family. I wish...

Before long I get ready for bed. But instead of going to sleep I decide to be on my phone. I rarely use this thing for anything but music. I decide to download a few games and play them, before Jason comes home. Since he's the only one that works, he gives me an allowance. He gives me about $20 of his allowance every month. It's not much, but it's enough. I sometimes buy food with it, but mostly I just store it away for a rainy day. I feel bad about making him work while I go to school. Maybe I can get a weekend job, or a night job. At least he wouldn't have to give me allowance. I end up falling asleep sometime after 11.

*Beep beep beep*

I turn off the alarm clock and get up. Why did I decide to go to school? It's too early for this.

I get ready anyway and head to school. Following the usual routine. But Sangwoo wasn't there. I wonder where he is.

I shrug and get started on my work. When lunch rolls around I sit at me usual table. I expected to eat alone but Sangwoo decided to join me.

I look at him confused and tilt my head to the side. He answers my confusion by telling me he had car trouble. I nod in understanding. We have a pleasant conversation. So far he's the only one willing enough to be my friend. He attracts almost as much attention as I do. Only, his is more of a positive.

I decided to hang with him after school at the park. He asked, I figured why not. If I'm gonna make friends, might as well.

School ends and o walk with Sangwoo, as usual.

"Hey, do you mind if we stop by my house for a second? There's something I have to get," he asks.

I shrug then nod, to answer his question. He smiles and we head to his house. It was a nice looking house, with a gate, and a few steps until you reach the front porch.

He opens the door and walks on before turning to look at me. He invites me on and I do. I walk down the hall a little bit as he shuts the door.

"It'll just be a second," he says as he leaves the room.

I walk around and into the kitchen, tilting my head in confusion. There's someone sitting in a rolling chair at the sink. I start to walk towards them. They turn around and I notice it's a boy, wearing.... Girl cloths?

He has on a confused but shocked face as he looks at something behind me. Confused I turn around, Sangwoo's holding a bat over his head with a grin. My eyes widen in shock and he swings.

I feel a hard hit to my head before I black out, unconscious.
