~Still Tuesday, immediate continuation of the last scene~

Niall's POV:

"I'm gonna ask you one more time; what did you do?"

I have a slight feeling I know what happened, but I don't want it to be true. It can't be true.

He sighs, running his hand through his hair again, and leaning back on his chair.

"You can't tell anybody," He begins. I nod. A long pause. "I kissed her."

Nicola's POV:

I feel a little upset with myself for not staying longer, but I know nothing good would have come of it.

I feel a headache forming and I can't seem to rid myself of the guilty hurt in my tummy. I shouldn't have done that. My intentions were to annoy him with Liam, but it got so out of hand.

I shouldn't have let it happen. I should have just left and gone on like every other day. Thinking about the moment makes me feel sick, but it doesn't change the fact I want to happen again.

No matter how much I try to shake the thought away, it manages to make its way back into my mind to haunt me.

There's still a full day of school ahead of me, English being first period. I don't want to go.

I could pretend to be sick and hope they'll send me home. I mean, it's how I get out of technology when I forget my homework.

Then a thought hits me. Oh no.

We have assessments today across all our subjects, so I can't skip. I've been going so well in school, and I don't want to blow all my grades in the last week. Great.

My phone buzzes and I take it out of my pocket to find a text from Zayn.

Meet me in the car park in five, yeah? :)xx

How did he know I'm at school?

Sure. :)

Sliding my phone back into my pocket, I hop up from my position on the floor in front of my locker. Hopefully talking to Zayn will help me forget about the situation I've stupidly placed myself in.

Zayn's POV:

Nicola appears in the doorway not too long after I read her text, spotting me and making her way over. I'm kind of nervous about the exam today, but that's not why I wanted to talk to her.

"Hey! What's up?" She greets, stopping in front of me and pulling her hoodie's sleeves over her hands.

"We have to make this quick. It involves Nina."

"Where is she? What about her? Are you guys okay?"

"She's buying coffee across the street, and we're fine.. We're perfect. She's perfect."

A grin makes its way onto Nicola's face and I realise I've trailed off, lost in thought about the girl I love.

Smiling too, I laugh a little, my cheeks going a little pink. Hopefully she can't tell since they're already coloured from the cold weather.

"So what did you want to talk about?" She asks, sliding her hands into her pockets.

"I don't know. I want to do something special for graduation, and I want it to be a surprise for everyone. I just don't know what to do."

"Beach?"

"Really? In this weather?"

"Movies?"

"Too cliché."

"Then what?"

"I don't know! That's why you're here," I say, laughing as she groans and stomps her foot.

"Party. Yes, a party. We're all going to uni, we need some experience with big parties. It's going to be massive. There will be lots of people, and we'll have it at Nia-- My place. Yeah, we'll have it at my place," she decides, ending with a smile.

"Cool, good idea. I'll make a playlist and bring speakers and we'll decide who to invite over the next couple of days?"

"Yeah, sounds good," Nicola agrees, and now that we've finished planning, I notice that she's been shivering this whole time. Oops.

I walk over and wrap my arm around her. "Cold?"

"Thanks for noticing," she answers sarcastically, but then cracks a smile. "I'm going to head back inside. People are starting to get here, anyway. See you first period?"

"Yeah, absolutely," I respond and as if we're in a movie, she walks off and Nina gets back with our drinks. "Nice timing."

"Timing? What did I miss?" She questions curiously, handing me my coffee.

"Nothing. Absolutely nothing."

~At The End Of The Day, Nicola's POV~

Spending the evening at Zayn's place is probably the best choice I've made all day. He's sitting on his bed and I'm lying on the floor, trying to think of stuff for the party.

"You have to come up with a music playlist," I say, scribbling down his name next to 'music' on a notepad. "I listen to crappy music."

"I believe you," he answers, opening iTunes on his laptop and smiling.

"Go to hell."

"What?" He asks, hands in the air. "You said it yourself!"

"Just because I said it, doesn't mean you can repeat it."

"Fine, geez," he responds, adding some songs to the playlist. "Double-standards everywhere."

Hey heyyyy :)
Guess who's back!
I know lol, I'm just as surprised about this update as you are. It's been way too long!
I'm really sorry I haven't been updating anything for such a long time. I've just been so busy with other things.
It's the end of my first year at high school and all the assessments are freaking me out a little considering I'm the Queen of Procrastination.
Ew, maths.
As well as the fact that now I'm not only doing singing outside of school, but guitar as well.
Enough about that, I know it's no excuse for being a shitty writer haha.
Thank you all for understanding, stay tuned (hopefully) for more!
Love you x
