memories

After the end of 1989 tour, Taylor decided that she should take a break and spend more time with her friends and family. She've been through a lot in the past years: rumors, people pretending to be her friends just to get something, heartbreaking, lies etc. Now she only want to spend time with the ones she truly loves.

Taylor went back to Nashville, where her family live for the last 10 years. She got in to her apartment and put Meredith and Olivia, her cats, down while getting her baggage inside.

- It's good to be home, isn't it girls? - Olivia meowed and Taylor took that as a yes, Meredith just ran to the counch to sleep, such a lazy cat.

After organizing her things, she feed the cats cooked something for her to eat. Her plans for the day include stay home watching friends with the cats, when Abigail called her.

- Hi, Abi!

- Hi! Are you already in Nash?

- Yes! Just got home. Why?

- Good! Would you like to do something today? I don't know, go out shopping and eat at Mark's* like the old times?

- Sure, why not?! See you at 3pm?

- It's a date! Bye!

Taylor went back to her tv show and when she realized it was already 2pm, she ran to her room to get ready. She took a quick shower, put some makeup on and dressed-up with a par of black jeans and a blue blouse, got her favorite boots and her black purse. She said her good byes to the cats and ran to the car to go meet Abi.

- Hey! I'm sorry I'm late I got distracted by friends. - Taylor said while hugging her best friend.

- It's OK, Taylor! You're just 5 minutes later, it's no big deal, really! - Abi laughed – So where do you wanna go first?

- Victoria secrets? I have no idea, really! - Taylor said grabbing Abigail's arm – So, how is the wedding planning going?

- I'm going crazy, I had no idea of how much work it demanded! Oh, I will be needing your help next week!

- for what?

- I want your opinion about my dress! You're my best friend and one of my braid maids, I trust you and I know you're not going to say you love it just to make me happy.

- Of course I'm going to help you! Oh geez I'm so excited for that! Just tell me the time and the place and I will be there!

The girls spent the entire afternoon shopping, talking and visiting their favorites spots in town. At 7pm they decided that it was time to go to Mark's and eat something.

- I have so many good memories here! - Taylor said

- Me too. Remember that time we came here with our high school friends after school because it was my birthday and you insisted we need to celebrate here?

- Yeah, it was a good day! We turned this place into a big mess!

- Excuse me, ladies. Good evening. Can I get you something? - The waitress asked

- Hi, good evening. Yes! I want spaghetti and red wine, please.

- Same for me.

- I'll be right back.

- Tay? Is that Makena, T Lautner's sister? -

- Where? - Taylor said while turning to look for the direction Abi was pointing – Oh my God, I think it is! She's so grown up now! I think she's studying in Belmont?

- Yeah, I heard something like that. Are you going to go say hi?

- I don't know, it's kind of weird, isn't it? I mean, I dated her brother almost 7 years ago and I didn't spoke to her after we break up, It would be weird.

- You probably right. Wow 7 years, time flies doesn't it? Looks like we were hanging out with her yesteday and now she's at college!

- Yes.

[Flashback on]

- Are you sure you already want to introduce me to your family? - I asked

- Don't be silly, babe. Of course I want my parents and my little sister to meet you, it's not like we've been date for a week, it's be more than a month. Are you scare? - He said open his door.

- Duh, yes!

- You don't need to be, I promise they'll be nice. - he opened my door and helped me out – I promise you. - he kissed my cheek.

- ok, let's go then. - I smiled at him

We went inside his family house and a girl, around 11 years old, ran to us. Taylor hugged and kissed her cheek and she smiled real big.

- Babe, that's my sister: Makena. Kenna, that's Taylor.

- Hi! Oh my God, you're so beautiful! I love your hair!

- Hi, thank you! You're also really beautiful!

- Thank you! - she smiled and went to Taylor and whispered – I liked her, big bro.

- I like her too – he said and winked at me

- I think we can be friends, don't you think? - Makena said

- Yes, I would love that! - I smiled.

[Flashback off]

I couldn't help have all those memories in my head, see Makena all those years later, so grown up at college just made me emotional. She was so young yesterday and now she's here.

[Flashback on]

Taylor and I was cuddling at his family couch enjoying the few days we have together, soon I'm going to be back on tour and he'll be back at the set. It's so hard stay away from him.

- Swifty, do you wanna go watch my volleyball game tonight? - Makena asked me

- If Taylor is going, I'm going too.

- I think everybody is going then – He said smiling at me

- Yaay, I can't wait to see y'all there! - she said leaving with her dad to prepare herself to the game.

- Do you really wanna go? You don't need to go if you don't want to. - Taylor said

- Obviously I'm going, I told her I was going. It will be fun! She's such a good player.

- Yes, she is! She also have been talking about invite you all week, you made her truly happy today – he said kissing me – thank you.

- You don't need to thank me at all! - Smiled

[Flashback off]

When I looked for Makena again she was already gone. Maybe we'll meet again now that I'm staying in town.
