She watched the ship,
A speck against the rolling indigo.
She sat there.
Feeling the water rush against her;
Flashing through memories as they flew to the wind.
He was gone.
He wouldn't be coming back.
Her eyes stung;
Not quite crying.
A single tear
Sliding
Down,
Until it joined the water below,
Fading out to sea.
