4. Where have you been?

~.~Elle's POV~.~

It was over, it was finally over. This damn wedding, finally I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Everyone was saying goodbye to the recently married couple. I was waving at them like 'bitch, go away' and all I could see was Vicky sending me daggers through her witchy eyes, I could almost see her smoking ears when she saw Jake put an arm around my shoulders. What the heck was her problem? Was she trying to get the two of them once again? I just couldn't be more disappointed in her than anyone else, I feel sad to call her my sister, she's such a mean, mean girl.

"Come on, Elizabeth, time to go home." my mother said putting on her coat getting ready to leave. I sigh looking at Jake ready to say goodbye.

"Actually, Mrs. Davis, I would like to kindly ask you if you'd mind me taking Elle with me, you know, we haven't got time to celebrate our engagement." Jake asked, and boy did I pray to God that she wouldn't throw a fist at Jake for that question. I almost choked when I saw her smile.

"Well, of course. You are totally right, my child. Go, go and have fun. Bring her tomorrow at noon and we'll get lunch together." she said and I couldn't even recognize her. What the hell is happening to my mother?

After saying our goodbyes and feeling Kyle's eyes burning the back of my head the whole time, we left. I got inside my car and waited for Jake to pass by me so I could follow him.

Jake opened the door to his apartment and let me tell you that was a very nice apartment. One look from the outside and you wouldn't even believe how the inside is, looks can totally be deceived.

All the furniture is modern, light colors, an amazing decor, the whole apartment screamed good vibes.

"Damn, I wanna live here." I said feeling stupefied. Jake laughed taking off his coat and his tie. "I know that I already asked you about this but are you really sure about this whole thing? I mean, we only have been engaged for a few hours and you are already invited to have lunch with us and that is completely different than what went down at the wedding." Jake smiled and got closer to me. I could feel my temperature increasing but I tried to pull it off like everything was okay.

"I know what I'm getting into, I appreciate your concern but I'm ready. Look," he put his hands on my shoulders and my heart started to beat faster. "you are something else." he laughed. "I have seen you around and you have no idea for how long I have been meaning to introduce myself to you just to talk to you." I smirked at him. "I know what you're going to say, 'Get away, creep'." I laughed because that was exactly what I was thinking. "But you have to know, I want to know you more, I want to get to know you all, inside and out." he took a step closer, feeling my chest touching his now, I gasped feeling his hand on my waist. "So if you think that at any moment I'm going to back off of this, you are very wrong. I'm sorry if that disappoints you." Jake mutters he's last arguments and I'm starstruck looking at him. I grab his face and look deep into his blue eyes.

"Where have you been?" I ask feeling warm, something that I never felt before. How is it possible that I met this guy today and already feel like I don't want to ever let him go. He just came out of the blue saving me from the hole that I've been digging my whole life hiding away from everyone. He makes me feel like I have been hiding and it's time that I show the world, that I show him who I am and what I'm made of. But maybe he already knows.

"I've been dreaming of you, waiting for the perfect time to pull you out of your hiding spot." he whispers into my lips and I want nothing more than to get out of my hiding spot for him.
