Three moons high in the star speckled night. The night kingdom in blissful peace. Meanwhile history is being made. Two young dragonets would hatch that night, twins.

Arctic watched as the silvery egg shell cracked and fell apart to reveal a young male dragon. The tiny thing appeared to be analyzing him, categorizing him somehow. It unnerved him, how the young dragonet's eyes seemed to see right through him. Hate sparkled in its eyes, somehow already finding reasons to dislike his father.

After arguing over the little monster's name, Foeslayer outvoted him, naming the little creature Darkstalker. What a name. Arctic sat watching the other egg, the one he would get to name, but it didn't hatch. Just as he was turning to leave, he noticed movement coming from the leftover cracked egg shell. As he moved to get a closer look, a young dragonet, smaller than Darkstalker was, popped it's head up, looking at its father with wide crystal blue eyes.

It crawled out of the shell and hobbled over to curl up on Arctic's talons. Arctic sighed, annoyed. He picked up the small creature and examined it closer. It had blue Icewing spikes, obsidian Nightwing scales, serrated Icewing talons, it's wings were black on top, white with black speckles on the bottom, and two unmistakable glittering blue teardrop scales.

      " Oblivion. "

The young dragonet, Oblivion, looked up at his father in curiosity.  His father glanced around somewhat nervously, before setting him down gently.

         " Stay here. "

And then Arctic was gone. Not for long, but long enough for Oblivion to ponder the future. A future filled with blood, misery, murder, and betrayal. All starting with what his father was about to do.

" Come, let's go take you to your real home. "

And then his father was flying him to the cold wasteland called the Ice kingdom, supposedly his real home, but it never would be. Not really. Not when his family was miles away. Just out of reach.
