READER'S POV

I was humming away after my encounter with Dark Link. I couldn't shake this feeling in my chest whenever I thought about Dark Link. I was in my room painting on another canvas and I did a painting of Dark Link. I painted his crimson eyes and I smiled a little. Sapphire sat on my lap and she said to me.

"You seem very happy."

"That's because I can't forget about that first meeting, I don't know what's gotten into me."

"I do, someone has got their first crush."

I shook my head at Sapphire and I continued to paint Dark Link. Just then, there was a knock on my door and I panicked a little.

"Uh oh, quickly hide it."

Sapphire said as she helped me to hide the painting of Dark Link underneath my bed and I got one of my canvas' that was still yet to be finished. I got my other paints and I got to work on finishing the painting of a dragon that I saw in a book once before.

"Come in."

I spoke up and then my Mother came in and she said to me.

"Hello, sweetheart, wow, that's amazing."

"Yeah, I know, I read about it in a book once before and I'm trying to picture what it would be like if this were in a book."

"I see, you've always had a creative imagination."

"I know."

I said with a smile while Sapphire was hiding underneath my bed and she smiled at us. Mom then looked at me worryingly and I asked her.

"Is something the matter?"

"Listen, (Y/n), your father has gone away to Hyrule castle for a while and..."

"And you're gonna ask me if I can leave the castle walls while he's away."

"...Yes, but, there are some conditions."

I put down my paintbrush and paints and I looked at Mom. She then said to me.

"Number 1: never take off your disguise when you're in town. Number 2: don't reveal your powers to anyone. Number 3: don't talk to strangers and Number 4: Do not and I repeat DO NOT go into the forest, there are too many dangerous wild animals out there."

I smiled at Mom and I said to her.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Hehe, good girl."

"How long will dad be gone for?"

"I don't know, might be a while, so you've still got some time outside of the castle walls."

I looked at her worryingly and I asked her.

"But, if I'm not back in time he'll get angry at you."

"Don't worry, I'll be fine just make sure that you come back before nightfall, OK?"

I nodded my head and I then out away my art stuff. Mom helped me into the clothes that I wore yesterday and I put my hood on. We got to the main gates and then Mom said to me.

"Now remember what I told you, sweetheart."

"I will Mom, thanks for this, I promise I'll be careful."

Mom smiled at me and then she gave me an encouraging push and I stepped out of the main gates. I headed towards town and I held onto my hood to keep it up. The town looked a bit different when it was the festival but it still looked amazing. I felt Sapphire moving about in my clock and I whispered to her.
