Chapter 2

Maverick's POV

"Guys, guys, guys. Tanghali na pala. Lunch break muna tayo." Sabi sa amin ng isa sa mga kasamahan namin sa paglalaro ng tennis ngayong araw. Right now, nandito kami sa Infinity Park. This game used to us as a hobby, and a recreational activity after a hard week's work at the office.

I am Maverick Dela Torre. I am twenty-two years old. I graduated two years ago, and since then, I work as an international officer to our company, the "K-NOW iT Entertainment". But then since, hindi pa ako na-assign sa isang international business proposal.

Well, back to the pause of the wheel of life. We used to play tennis every weekends, not only for recreational, but also for maintaining physical aspects that we have in our body. Sa madaling salita, parang exercise na rin ito na na-eenhance din ang tennis skills mo.

I'll just give more little deets about myself. I got skills in rapping, and I'm not-so terrible at dancing. I like reading books, and maybe you think I'm cold, but if you try talking to me, you got that wrong. :) Di ako nangangagat.

Also, NGSB person po ako. Sa hindi magets, No Girlfriend Since Birth po ako. Malamang, nagkaroon ng crush-crush pero hindi naman naabot sa level ng seryosohan. I think, I got TOO MANY things more important to handle than romance and love.

Nakakatamad magdala ng baon, kaya nagdala na lang ako ng pera para bumili ng lunch. I went to a restaurant where there are foods that surely satisfy you, even if you only just based in the appearance. Also, I am not alone.

I brought my bestfriend. He's a boy, and his name is Garvan.

The RESTAURANT

I wonder what will I pick, a food na pwedeng kainin na mabubusog ka lang ng normal. I need to be fit and be healthy at the same time. Grrr.

"Ano bang magandang kainin?" Tinanong ko si Garvan.

"Pumili ka diyan. Kaya may menu diba?" Namimilosopo nanaman si Garvan. -_-

"Joke lang. Try mo ito." Bigla nalang siyang tumawa at may nagpoint out ng isa sa mga foods na menu list.

"Ahh, excuse me." Tinawag ko yung isang waiter para mag-order. "Isa po nito." Tinuro ko sa menu yung order ko. "Ano yung sayo, Garvan?"

"Ahhh, isa nito." Itinuro niya rin sa menu yung order niya. "Would that be all?" The waiter asked. I just replied a approving thumb back to him.

Umalis na yung waiter. "Maverick, may itatanong lang ako sayo?" Bigla akong kinalabit ni Garvan habang inaayos ko yung sintas ng sapatos ko. "What is it? Kita mong may ginagawa pa ako? Is it important? Kita mong busy, iistorbohin, unless..that's important.

"No. It can wait." Psh. Itinapos ko na lang yung pagtatali ko ng sintas, alam kong may mapupulot ako diyan sa sasabihin niya. "Well, what is it?"

"I'm just wondering, bakit parang iba ka compare sa ibang lalaki?" Tanong niya sa akin. What??? What's wrong on being tall?

"Huh? What do you mean?" Its definitely what I wonder and also, think.

"What I mean is....ang COLD mo." -_- Pft. Garvin -_-

"Sige na. Diretsuhin mo na ako.."

"Well..." What? What?

"Bakit wala kang lovelife?" Psh. "Di kasi ako apurado. I let things go straight on a natural way." Di ako bitter. I'm just, not in to kind of stuff right now.

"Oo nga. Pag nakakita ng chix, hihingin agad ng number.."

"Dafuq. Di ako ganon. Those girls? Kaklase ko lang yun nung elementary so I'm getting the numbers. And, what? Chix na sila sa tingin mo!?" Truth hurts. Baduy kasi manamit. Kdot.
