~”People who are meant to be together will always find their way back to each other. They may take detours in life, but they are never lost” -Unknown”~

"Saaaam" Jade whined, digging her heels into the carpet of she and her best mate’s flat, in an attempt to wrestle her arm out of his strong grip and to wiggle her way out of a night on the town yet again.

"No Jade" he said sternly, finally releasing her arm and looking her straight in the eye, "You haven’t been out since Christmas!  That was four months ago, Jade! You can surely drop your studying and let yourself go for a few hours"

Sam was very fond of Jade,  extremely so, they’d been inseparable since childhood,  and so he wanted to look out for Jade. He was getting concerned that Jade’s college studies were taking up far too much of her time and that she’d never enjoy a social life.

She’d get up at 6am each morning to study, go to college at 8am and return home at 3pm. Then she’d allow herself an hour to relax after her challenging day of college and after that she’d do some more study until around 10pm. Some nights though, if she was lucky, she’d kick back around 9.45pm.

She’d spend the remainder of her day chatting to Sam, who didn’t go to college (he couldn’t fit it around his volunteer work as a dance instructor plus he wasn’t too keen on it anyways) and instead worked in the same café that Jade worked in part-time on weekends, and more often than not have to listen to Sam go on about how uptight and obsessed in her studies she was.

It was Jade’s dream to become a famous singer one day, but she saw that as worthless ambition and a waste of her time because she’d never get found. She’d never sell albums or sell out concert arenas. Because, in her mind, she was just little old Jade Thirlwall, who wasn’t good enough to full her outstanding potential.

Sam only tried to force her to go out so that Jade could relieve herself of all the stress she possessed and pressure that she put on her tiny shoulders. Plus, Sam was pretty sure that Jade’s issue about partying and clubbing had initiated after her break-up with her boyfriend of two years, Harry Styles, six months beforehand.

Harry was the complete opposite of Jade, he was confident, outgoing and extremely charming, but Jade loved it. She loved that she was dating someone who was her polar opposite. It put her out of her comfort zone and made her feel excited and alive, something that no fellow nerd could ever allow her experience.

But Harry inevitably grew ‘bored’ of his ‘restricted’ girlfriend and resorted to adultery to fulfill his desires. Jade unfortunately witnessed this shameful act first hand at a house party, was deeply affected, and had since hardly set foot into a party scene.

Sam desperately wanted Jade to move on from her cheating rat of an ex-boyfriend and find someone new. “The only way to get over someone is to get under someone new” as Sam always preached to her, which only caused the brunette to roll her eyes and, knowing Jade, probably pull out a textbook or two to avert her focus to.

And the worst thing was that Jade could most probably get anyone she wanted if she actually put herself out there and made an attempt to. She was, as anyone who’d ever been blessed to have her in their sights would most certainly agree, absolutely gorgeous.
