"Schizophrenia cannot be understood without understanding despair."
― R.D. Laing
I can't sleep I don't know why that surprises me. I'm lucky if I could get more than an hour of sleep and that's only if I take my damn meds. This time it was different it wasn't from the nightmares I always had. I felt that someone was watching me.
I picked up my alarm clock and checked the time.
2:30 A.M'wow slept for 2 hours and 28 minutes a new record.' I began to hear tapping I slowly looked over to my window and saw a dark figure with blood red eyes. It just stood there doing nothing. Suddenly it let out a scream and started banging on the window.
I covered my ears and screwed by eyes shut not knowing what to do. I heard the window shatter. The thing had got inside. It jumped on me clawing at me, trying to rip me limb from limb. Well I wasn't going down without a fight!
The thing opened its mouth and said "calm down Jenna it's me!"
that was my dad's voice! I opened my eyes and felt the weight of reality fall on me. Above me wasn't a monster but my dad. He looked like he just got in a fight with a rabid cat and lost.I got up and saw my mom and Alex clinging into her standing in my doorway looking terrified.
I didn't give a fuck about my parents but scaring Alex was the only thing that would ever make me guilty.
"JENNA!" my mom yelled out glaring at me as she started to rant. I sighed this wasn't the first time this happened. It usually went like this "blah blah blah why are you always forgetting to take your medication? Blah blah blah this is what happens when you don't blah blah blah BLAH."
If you haven't noticed I have a mental disorder. It's called schizophrenia. At best it's just voices at worst well I'm sure you have a pretty good idea.
Love it? hate it? Wasting my time? please review!
